LOCKING ELECTRICAL CONTACT DEVICE WITH SWITCH
20230361506 · 2023-11-09 ·

An electrical connector assembly includes a first electrical contact device and a second electrical contact device. The first electrical contact device includes a plurality of conductors. The second electrical contact device includes a first portion, a second portion movable in a rotational and translational manner relative to the first portion, and an actuator movable between a first position and a second position. The first portion includes first electrical contacts, and the second portion includes electrical sockets. Each socket receives an associated conductor and includes a second electrical contact aligned with an associated first electrical contact. The second portion is biased away from the first portion. When the actuator is in the first position, the actuator inhibits translational movement of the second portion toward the first portion. When the actuator is in the second position, the second portion is movable toward the first portion to permit the second electrical contacts to engage the first electrical contacts.

PANEL MOUNTED CHARGING SYSTEMS WITH INTERCHANGEABLE MODULES

Charging systems configured to charge a device with a power connector configured to operate at specified power parameters. The charging systems include a base module and a removable module. The base module fixedly mounts to a panel and electrically couples to a power supply. The removable module removably and electrically couples to the base module. The removable module includes an electronics system and a power receptacle. The electronics system converts a supply current from the removable module to an output current matching the specified power parameters of the power connector. The power receptacle is complementarily configured with the power connector to electrically couple with the power connector. In some examples, the base module is configured to mount to the panel in a range of orientations to facilitate electrically coupling with the power supply and to receive the removable module in an upright orientation regardless of the base module's orientation.

Connector device

A connector device comprises a connector and a mating connector. The connector comprises a housing and a slider having a second regulated portion. The mating connector comprises a mating housing having a second regulation portion. The connector is movable between an open position and a closed position. The slider is held by the housing to be movable between a first position and a second position. When the connector is moved to a predetermined position together with the slider which is located at the second position upon a movement of the connector from the closed position toward the open position, the second regulated portion is brought into abutment with the second regulation portion, and a movement of the connector toward the open position beyond the predetermined position is regulated. When the slider is moved to the first position, the connector is movable to the open position.

Electrical connector system

An electrical connector system can comprise a first connector and a second connector. The first connector can include a first threaded coupling feature defining a first axis. The first connector can also include a first electrical contact with a first contact surface having an annular configuration centered on the first axis by a radius. The second connector can include a second threaded coupling feature defining a second axis. The second connector can also include a second electrical contact with a second contact surface offset from the second axis by the radius. The first and second threaded coupling features can be operable to engage one another to couple the first and second connectors to one another such that the first and second axes are aligned, thereby facilitating contact or separation of the first and second contact surfaces upon relative rotation of the first and second connectors.

Housing for an Electrical Connector

A housing for an electrical connector includes a housing body having an opening receiving a cable in an insertion direction and a pair of cable covers hinged to the housing body at a proximal end of each cable cover of the pair of cable covers. The pair of cable covers extend away from the opening. Each of the cable covers is pivoted away from the other cable cover in a cable mounting position and each cable cover is pivoted toward the other cable cover to form a cable support sleeve supporting the cable in an operating position.

AUTOMATIC COUPLER ASSEMBLY

A socket of an automatic coupler assembly is arranged for receiving a plug along a first direction. The socket includes a first means for limiting the movement of the plug in the first direction and a second means for blocking the movement of the plug in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
