Rotor for rotating electric machine

In a rotor of the present invention, an interference is set to have a relationship so that an inner diameter of a press-fit projecting portion before press-fitting is smaller than a diameter of a shaft, and in the inner wall surface, a non-projecting portion is formed without projecting portions on a portion in which a weld line is generated by the molding.

METHOD OF COATING SLIP RINGS

A surgical shaft is disclosed. The surgical shaft includes a proximal shaft portion including a proximal connector, where the proximal connector includes a proximal conductor assembly, and a distal shaft portion rotatable relative to the proximal shaft portion. The distal shaft portion includes a distal connector including a plurality of conductors operably engaged with the proximal conductor assembly. The plurality of conductors includes a first conductor and a second conductor, where the first conductor and the second conductor include a coating configured to prevent fluid from contacting the same.

ALTERNATOR HAVING AN EXTERNAL IGNITION PROTECTION SYSTEM
20180183293 · 2018-06-28 ·

An alternator includes an external ignition protection system including a shaft rotatable about an axis. The shaft includes a slip ring end. A slip ring support is mounted at the slip ring end of the shaft. A slip ring cover is mounted to the shaft. The slip ring cover defines a slip ring cavity. A first slip ring end housing supports the slip ring cover. The first slip ring end housing includes a first plurality of openings. A second slip ring end housing is arranged axially outwardly of the slip ring end. The second slip ring end housing includes a second plurality of openings. The first slip ring end housing, slip ring cover and the second slip ring end housing define a labyrinth flow path that provides an air flow through the slip ring cavity and prevents passage of ignition inducing elements from the alternator.

Method of forming a commutator

A commutator is formed by providing an electrically insulating commutator body. First and second areas are defined on the commutator body covering a brush contact surface in an alternating manner. At least the surfaces of the first areas are formed of laser direct structured material. The first areas are treated by a laser to form metal particle layers. Conductive layers are formed on the metal particle layers by a plating process to form commutator segments. Terminals are connected to the conductive layers for connecting the commutator to rotor windings.

Internal transducer assembly with slip ring

A device for internal ultrasound imaging including a micro-motor rotates a drive shaft and ultrasound transducer. Conductors attach between the transducer and slip ring assemblies. The slip ring assemblies conductively couple the transducer conductors to a set of conductors extending toward a console.
