GAME CARTRIDGE ADAPTER TO ENABLE ONLINE PLAY
A video game cartridge adapter is configured to enable a network connection so that a game executing on video game cartridge can be used online either locally or through the Internet or other wide area network. The adapter includes an integrated circuit with a communications device and a connector, the connector configured to be inserted into a port on a video game cartridge. The connector includes an RX ring in communication with a resistor, which is detected by a pull-down detection circuit at the video game cartridge. The adapter can include an external power supply port, an indicator light, and a reset button. The adapter can also include a current limiter circuit and a reverse voltage protection circuit.
ETHERNET CABLE CONNECTOR
An Ethernet cable assembly including a cable with nine elongated conductors, a first connector and a second connector located on opposing ends of the cable, and a coupler for electrically coupling with one or both of the connectors. The connectors may each include nine pin receptacles electrically coupled with one of the elongated conductors. The nine receptacles may be arranged with one center receptacle surrounded by eight outer receptacles, symmetrically arranged about a line of symmetry passing through the center receptacle, such that when identical first or second connectors of another cable faces one of the first and second connectors, complementary crossover pairs of the receptacles match up with positive receptacles matching positive receptacles and negative receptacles matching negative receptacles. To couple these identical Ethernet connectors with each other, the coupler may have pins simply passing from one side of the coupler housing to another, without any crossover hardware required therein.
Communication plug with improved cable manager
A communication plug is described. The communication plug has a communication cable with a plurality of conductors, a plug housing, and a cable manager partially enclosed within the plug housing. The cable manager has a load bar with a plurality of holes, a first cable management section connected to the load bar via a first hinge, and a second cable management section connected to the load bar via a second hinge. The first and second cable management sections are configured to fold together and partially enclose the cable before the cable manager is inserted into the plug housing.
Front sled assemblies for communication jacks and communication jacks having front sled assemblies
The present invention generally relates to communication connectors and internal components thereof. In one embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising both front-rotated and back rotated plug interface contacts. In another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack comprising a two-piece front sled. In yet another embodiment, the present invention is a communication jack that retains its functionality when mated with both eight-position and six-position plugs.
SFP SOCKET CONNECTOR
An SFP socket connector is disclosed in this invention. In a socket housing of the SFP socket connector, one row of upper terminal-receiving grooves are located on an inner side of a top wall and extend to a mounting space, and some of the other row thereof are formed between upper support bars and extend to the mounting space. One row of lower terminal-receiving grooves are located on an inner side of a bottom wall and extend to the mounting space, and some of the other row thereof are formed between lower support bars. The shielding case has an upper port aligned with two rows of upper terminal-receiving grooves and a lower port aligned with two rows of lower terminal-receiving grooves. Multiple terminal assemblies are mounted in the socket housing and are arranged side by side in the order of ground-signal-signal.
Connector
A connector is disclosed. The connector comprises a case having a top case and a bottom case and a partition plate disposed between the top case and the bottom case separating an inside space of the case into a plurality of receiving chambers. The bottom case has a first slot. The partition plate has a first side edge facing the bottom case and a first elastic hook formed on the first side edge. The first elastic hook is inserted into and elastically engages the first slot to connect the partition plate to the bottom case.
Modular RF devices
A modular passive RF apparatus includes a passive RF portal and a passive RF expansion module configured to be removably coupled with the passive RF portal. A male connector is configured to extend from a top surface of the passive RF portal, and a female connector is configured to extend from the first end wall of the passive RF expansion portal. The female connector is configured to slidingly engage the male connector in a direction parallel to the top surface of the passive RF portal in order to mechanically couple the passive RF expansion module with the passive RF portal, and the male connector is configured to prevent the female connector from being removed from the male connector in a direction perpendicular to the top surface of the passive RF portal.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR
An electrical connector includes: an insulating body defining a mating space; and a terminal module assembled to the insulating body and having a circuit board and plural mating terminals mounted on the circuit board, wherein: each of the mating terminals has a contact portion extending obliquely backward, a bending portion bent backward from a front end of the contact portion, a connecting portion extending rearward from a rear end of the bending portion, and a mounting portion vertically extending from a rear end of the connecting portion for mounting on the circuit board; and a front end of the circuit board extends forward into the mating space.
Method for reducing crosstalk in electrical connectors
An apparatus and method for crosstalk compensation in a jack of a modular communications connector includes a flexible printed circuit board connected to jack contacts and to connections to a network cable. The flexible printed circuit board includes conductive traces arranged as one or more couplings to provide crosstalk compensation.
Pluggable MM-wave module for rack scale architecture (RSA) servers and high performance computers (HPCS)
Embodiments of the invention include an active mm-wave interconnect. In an embodiment, the active mm-wave interconnect includes a dielectric waveguide that is coupled to a first connector and a second connector. According to an embodiment, each of the first and second connectors may include a mm-wave engine. In an embodiment, the mm-wave engines may include a power management die, a modulator die, a demodulator die, a mm-wave transmitter die, and a mm-wave receiver die. Additional embodiments may include connectors that interface with predefined interfaces, such as small form-factor pluggables (SFP), quad small form-factor pluggables (QSFP), or octal small form-factor pluggables (OSFP).
