11075491 · 2021-07-27 · ·

A coaxial cable connector system, comprising a coaxial connector, a coaxial cable, and a universal coaxial cable fixing sleeve is provided. The universal coaxial cable fixing sleeve comprises a first gripping component, a second gripping component, and a third gripping component. When the coaxial cable is assembled to the universal coaxial cable fixing sleeve, the first gripping component grips a conductive shield of the cable, and the second and third gripping components grip a protective outer jacket of the cable, respectively. When the universal coaxial cable fixing sleeve is engaged to a first connector, a first housing outer surface thereof corresponds to and fixedly engages with a sleeve receiving inner surface of the first connector, and when disengaged and engaged to a second connector different in type from the first connector, no re-preparation of the cable is required for corresponding fixed engagement.

Accessory connector for a radio

An accessory connector (102) and connector system (100) are provided. The accessory connector (102) comprises and edge tongue portion at one end and a thumb screw recess at the opposite end with a floating header therebetween. The edge tongue portion enables pivotal engagement of the accessory connector to a device interface. The floating header (110) has a perimeter alignment wall (112) surrounding a plurality of pogo pins (114) recessed therein. The floating header is movable in planar directions within the accessory connector prior to attachment of the connector to the radio connector interface (154). The x-y moveability allows for fine alignment of the pogo pins to corresponding contacts and loading of the pogo pins to the contacts in a z-direction.

Universal DC power adaptor

A universal DC power adaptor for a PRC-148 radio, a PRC-152 radio, a Handheld ISR Transceiver, and similar devices and a method of using the same, is disclosed. The universal DC power adaptor includes mounting and locking features that are common to both the PRC-148 radio and the PRC-152 radio. The universal DC power adaptor further includes certain mounting and locking features that are unique to the PRC-148 radio and other mounting and locking features that are unique to the PRC-152 radio. The universal DC power adaptor also provides an output voltage suitable for both the PRC-148 and PRC-152 radios. Such features also are compatible with the Handheld ISR Transceiver, making the universal DC power adaptor compatible with the ISR Transceiver as well. Additionally, the universal DC power adaptor includes programmable control electronics.

AN IMPROVED CONNECTOR FOR A LOW INTERMODULATION BOARD-TO-BOARD OR BOARD TO FILTER RF COAXIAL CONNECTION ASSEMBLY, INTEGRATING AN ELASTIC BALL JOINT LINK

The present application relates to a coaxial connector, intended to transmit radio frequency RF signals, including: two electrical insulating solid bodies coaxially interposed between the central contact and the outer contact of the connector, one of the two bodies being mechanically retained in one of the two rigid portions of the outer contact and mechanically retaining one of the two rigid portions of the central contact, whereas the other of the two bodies is mechanically retained in the other of the two rigid portions of the outer contact and mechanically retains the other of the two rigid portions of the central contact, wherein the ends of the two insulating bodies which are face-to-face and the flexible portions are configured to allow a ball joint link in flexion around an axis (Z) perpendicular to the longitudinal axes (X1, X2).

SYSTEMS FOR PROVIDING A COMMON BATTERY PILOTING CHANNEL AND VEHICULAR AMPLIFIER ADAPTER RETENTION

A common battery for providing power to a first of a plurality of radios. The plurality of radios includes at least a first radio and a second radio. The common battery has a size of the smallest of at least two batteries. The common battery comprises a raised concentric wall edge for enabling the common battery to lock in place when used in place of a larger of the first battery and the second battery, such as within a Vehicular Adaptor Amplifier. The raised concentric wall edge has a height of a difference between a height of the first battery and a height of the second battery. In one variation, the common battery comprises a circular piloting interface that uses an outside radius of a respective bayonet connector on the first and second radios to align the common battery to the respective radio.

CONNECTOR AND CONNECTOR INSERT FOR PROTECTING CONDUCTOR SPRING-ELEMENTS

A connector, and connector insert, configured to inhibit plastic deformation of at least one of the axially projecting fingers of an outer conductor basket associated with a connector. The connector insert comprises: (i) an outwardly facing flange configured to engage a shoulder formed at a base of the axially projecting fingers of the outer conductor basket, (ii) a tubular structure defining an elongate axis and having plurality of engagement sections extending normal to the outwardly facing flange, each engagement section having a surface disposed substantially normally to a radial projecting from the elongate axis; and (iii) a plurality of stiffening sections having a surface disposed substantially parallel to a radial projecting from the elongate axis. The engagement sections function to prevent plastic deformation of the axially projecting fingers, thereby preventing damage to the fingers and/or the transmission of RF signals The stiffening sections function to support the engagement sections while furthermore preventing the insertion of a non-mating second connector into, or against, the outer conductor basket of a first connector.
