The assembly includes an input beam shaper array having a plurality of rectilinear input cells positioned adjacent to each other that are shaped to cause the beam to expand as it propagates away from the input array to be converted from the low fill factor profile to a high fill factor profile. The assembly further includes an output beam shaper array having a plurality of output cells positioned adjacent to each other that are shaped to cause the beam to stop expanding so that the output array provides a plurality of adjacent beams with minimal overlap and a minimal gap between the beams.

A coherently beam combining (CBC) fiber laser amplifier system including beam shaper array assembly and a beam source that provides a plurality of beams having a low fill factor profile. The assembly includes an input beam shaper array having a plurality of input cells positioned adjacent to each other that are shaped to cause the beam to expand as it propagates away from the input array to be converted from the low fill factor profile to a high fill factor profile and cause the profile to taper to a lower value at a perimeter of each input array cell. The assembly further includes an output beam shaper array having a plurality of output cells positioned adjacent to each other that are shaped to cause the beam to stop expanding so that the output array provides a plurality of adjacent beams with minimal overlap and a minimal gap between the beams.
Optical amplification device and optical amplification method
An optical amplification device includes a first Raman amplifier outputs a first excitation light to a transmission line in a same direction as a signal light, and a second Raman amplifier outputs a second excitation light to the transmission line in an opposite direction to the signal light. The first Raman amplifier includes a first detector detects a first power of a first transmitted light transmitted through a first optical filter. The second Raman amplifier includes a second detector detects second power of a second transmitted light transmitted through a second optical filter. The first Raman amplifier stops output of the first excitation light when the first power is higher than a threshold. The second Raman amplifier stops output of the second excitation light when the second power is reduced from power of the first excitation light transmitted through the second optical filter.
Laser waveguide device and laser waveguide system
A laser light waveguide device includes laser light provision units that oscillate and cause laser light to exit; a laser light waveguide path formed of an optical fiber capable of guiding the laser light; and a control unit that controls the laser light provision units. The control unit detects an illumination spot (output of the visible laser light) based on a captured image, captured by an image capturing unit, of a laser light illumination area and an area close thereto illuminated with the laser light, and controls exit of the infrared laser light by the infrared laser light provision unit based on a result of detection of the illumination spot (output of the visible laser light).
SOLID-STATE LASER SYSTEM AND LASER APPARATUS USED FOR EXPOSURE APPARATUS
A solid-state laser system may include a first solid-state laser unit, a second solid-state laser unit, a wavelength conversion system, a wavelength detector, and a wavelength controller. The wavelength conversion system may receive a first pulsed laser light beam with a first wavelength and a second pulsed laser light beam with a second wavelength, and output a third pulsed laser light beam with a third wavelength converted from the first and second wavelengths. The wavelength controller may control the first solid-state laser unit to vary the first wavelength on a condition that an absolute value of a difference between a value of a target wavelength and a value of the third wavelength detected by the wavelength detector is equal to or less than a predetermined value, and control the second solid-state laser unit to vary the second wavelength on a condition that the absolute value exceeds the predetermined value.
