A spliced cable including: a first shielded wire, wherein the first shielded wire comprises at least one conductor and a first shield layer having an outer surface coated with a first outer sheath; a second shielded wire, wherein the second shielded wire comprises at least one conductor and a second shield layer having an outer surface coated with a second outer sheath; a third shielded wire, wherein the third shielded wire comprises at least one conductor and a third shield layer having an outer surface coated with a third outer sheath; wherein the first conductor is electrically connected to the second conductor and to the third conductor; and a flexible shield tube, wherein the flexible shield tube comprises a first portion and a second portion longitudinally adjacent or spaced from the first portion.

Cutting device for the severance of an electrical power cable, or of a strand section

A device is used to sever an electrical power cable for the transmission of high voltage. The device includes a frame having first movable cutting blade carried thereon and second stationary cutting blades carried thereon. The blades can sever the electrical power cable upon movement of the first cutting blade relative to the frame. A sensor is provided and is configured to register a position of the first cutting blade relative to the frame. An evaluation and/or transmission controller is configured to receive information from the sensor and interrupt severing of the electrical power cable by the blades in response to the information.

Cable cutter and crimper

A cable cutter and crimper is provided including an anvil having an anvil cutting edge. A blade is pivotally coupled to the anvil and includes a blade cutting edge. A clevis is coupled to the anvil and includes arms extending on opposite sides of an actuator screw. A pivot nut is threadably coupled to the actuator screw and pivotally coupled to the blade. Rotation of the actuator screw in a first rotational direction causes the pivot nut to translate along the actuator screw in a first translation direction, resulting in the blade cutting edge moving away from the anvil cutting edge. Rotation of the actuator screw in a second rotational direction causes the pivot nut to translate along the actuator screw in a second translation direction, resulting in the blade pivoting relative to the anvil to move the blade cutting edge toward the anvil cutting edge.

The gauge portion may be configured to rotate relative to the cutter portion around an axis. The gauge portion may include a gauge thickness dimension that is configured to correspond to a predetermined cut length of the pin. The gauge portion also may be configured to permit the cutter portion to cut the pin received by the receiving portion to at least one predetermined length that is needed for an installation so as to provide uniform electrical performance of the connector, which may be a coaxial or hardline connector.

Pliers

Plies have a first and a second plier limb which are rotatably held relative to one another on an axis of rotation an articulation region and form a jaw region on one side of the articulation region and handle sections on the other side of the articulation region. The jaw region has a cutting pattern with first and second cutting edges which, in the closed position of the pliers, are crossed with respect to a shear plane and which have a central plane running through the axis of rotation, perpendicularly to the shear plane in the closed position. The cutting edges are crossed to a greater degree in a region remote from the articulation, in the opening direction of the pliers, than in a region closer to the articulation.
