Skin mimicking emulsion
The present invention is directed to a skin-mimicking emulsion comprised of polyosides, minerals, inositol polyphosphate or phytic acid, polysaccharides, triglycerides, polyols, alpha or beta hydroxy acids, phospholipids, phytosterols, vitamins, fatty alcohols, essential lipids, amino acids, and water. All of the inventive ingredients in combination are design to be similar to those found in skin and are combined to form a lamellar structure for maximum efficacy. The composition does not include any of the components usually found in conventional emulsions, such as synthetic preservatives, surfactants, fragrances, colorants, acrylic polymers, gelling agents, sequestrants, and EDTA as such ingredients would be irritating to the skin.
BIPHASE CHEMICAL PEEL
A biphasic leave-on skin peel composition, being light-weight, with a pleasing feel upon application, with little to no skin irritation and discomfort. The composition includes at least one of each of alpha and beta hydroxy acids and high content of non-water miscible oil and is present from at least 20% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. The oily and water phases may be present in equal amounts (about 1:1). The composition includes water and alcohol as solvents in the water phase and may include phenylethyl resorcinol and other optional additives, may be devoid or essentially free of surfactant.
Aqueous perfume compositions
Reduced-ethanol perfume compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in an aqueous base or delivery vehicle. The perfume compositions according to the invention are easy to manufacture and provide an aqueous perfume composition that preserves aromatic integrity (intensity, duration and range), even in emulsion form. The most advantageous use of compositions of the invention are as parfums, eau de parfums, eau de toilettes, and colognes. However, the invention may also find use in many types of fragranced products, such as those used on the skin and hair of humans or animals, in cleaning products of all types, in air deodorizers, air fresheners, and more.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING COCAMIDOPROPYL BETAINE AND AT LEAST ONE FATTY ACID
Provided are cleansing compositions comprising: (a) cocamidopropyl betaine, wherein the cocamidopropyl betaine has an average molecular weight of at least about 355 g/mol; (b) from greater than about 0 wt.-% to about 1 wt.-% of a fatty acid; and (c) water. Also provided are methods of using the same.
COMPOSITIONS, GELS AND FOAMS WITH RHEOLOGY MODULATORS AND USES THEREOF
The present disclosure relates generally to compositions for cosmetic or pharmaceutical application. The compositions include a carrier and rheology modulators.APP
Surfactant-free water-free foamable compositions, breakable foams and gels and their uses
A substantially surface active agent free composition which includes a hydrophobic solvent, and/or a petrolatum, a paraffin wax and/or a fatty alcohol, a fatty acid and/or a wax and/or shea butter, with and without a propellant. A substantially surface active agent free composition, further comprising, a tetracycline antibiotic, or a vitamin D derivative, or one or more other active agents. A method of treatment using a substantially surface active agent free composition.
Phyllosilicate compositions and uses thereof for skin cell regeneration
A Pickering formulation for use as a pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition for regenerating skin cells, allowing reducing skin stretch marks on a human skin, or healing skin cells after a burn, such as a sunburn. The Pickering formulation comprises an emulsion of oil and water phases stabilized with an organic-modified natural physosillicate, such as hectorite, montmori-Uonite, or bentonite. The pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition can be free of primary emulsifier or primary surfactant reducing as such the toxicity of the composition for the skin. As such, the pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition may consist essentially of the Pickering formulation. Indeed, it is demonstrated that the Pickering formulation can act itself as an active ingredient of the pharmaceutical or cosmetic composition leading to significant skin cell regeneration. The invention is particularly useful for reduction of stretchmarks. The Pickering formulation also boosts the sun protection factor, or SFP, of sunscreen compositions.
COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING A FATTY PHASE AND AN AQUEOUS PHASE IN THE FORM OF SOLID SPHERES
A composition, in particular a cosmetic composition, comprising a fatty phase and an aqueous phase, the aqueous phase being substantially immiscible with the fatty phase, at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure, wherein: the aqueous phase is in the form of spheres (S1) that are solid at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure, comprising at least one hydrophilic gelling agent, which is preferably temperature-sensitive, and the fatty phase comprises at least one lipophilic agent having a suspending capacity, which is preferably thixotropic, preferably a hydrophobic silica.
Compositions suitable for styling hair which comprise salts and polyglyceryl esters
Provided are compositions suitable as hair styling compositions. Said compositions may comprise (a) at least one salt selected from the group consisting of sodium chloride, magnesium sulfate, calcium chloride, calcium phosphate and combinations thereof; and (b) at least one polyglyceryl ester having a structure represented by: ##STR00001##
wherein: R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are each independently an alkenyl group having 9-21 carbon atoms and at least one unsaturated carbon-carbon bond, G is CH.sub.2CH(OH)CH.sub.2O, and n ranges from 1 to 15. Also provided are kits and methods of using said compositions.
NON-SURFACTANT TYPE OIL-WATER DISPERSION COMPOSITION, NON-SURFACTANT TYPE WATER-OIL DISPERSION COMPOSITION, AND MANUFACTURING METHODS FOR BOTH COMPOSITIONS
The present invention relates to: a non-surfactant type oil-water (O/W) dispersion composition comprising non-polar solvent droplets in a polar solvent, the transparency of the dispersion composition being 90-100%; a non-surfactant type water-oil (W/O) dispersion composition comprising polar solvent droplets in a non-polar solvent, the transparency of the dispersion composition being 90-100%; and manufacturing methods for both of the compositions.
