Emulsifier-free hydroxy acid gel cream composition
An emulsifier-free composition includes in a water phase a hydroxy acid system that includes alpha hydroxy, a blend of low pH, high electrolyte compatible thickeners and in an oily phase one or a combination of emollient oils. The composition has a pH in the range from about 1 to about 5.0 and is essentially free of emulsifiers and comprises a gel cream architecture.
Compositions, gels and foams with rheology modulators and uses thereof
The present disclosure relates generally to compositions for cosmetic or pharmaceutical application. The compositions include a carrier and rheology modulators.
EMULSIFIER-FREE SUNCREEN GEL COMPOSITION WITH TRANSPARENT APPLICATION
An emulsifier-free sunscreen composition includes a suspension of oil phase droplets in a gellified water phase, the oil phase droplets including a UV filter system present from at least about 20% by weight of the composition and including one or more oil soluble UV sun filters, an amino acid gelling agent and optionally at least one diol all of which oil phase components can be blended at a temperature that is below 100 degrees C.
Compositions, gels and foams with rheology modulators and uses thereof
The present disclosure relates generally to compositions for cosmetic or pharmaceutical application. The compositions include a carrier and rheology modulators.
Hair treatment agent containing sulfated or sulfonated oils and amidoamines
The subject matter of the present disclosure is a hair treatment agent which, based on the weight of the entire agent, contains a. from about 0.5 to about 10.0% by weight of amidoamine, b. from about 0.1 to about 10.0% by weight of sulfated and/or sulfonated oil and c. an aqueous or aqueous-alcoholic carrier.
Cosmetic adhesive compositions
Single phase cosmetic adhesive compositions that are flexible and resistant to water below a selected temperature, 43 C. for example. The adhesive compositions wear well, are smudge and flake resistant, as well as oil resistant, making them very suitable for long wear without adhesive failure. Adhesive compositions according to the invention comprise specific combinations of acrylates/VA copolymer and acrylates copolymer in a cosmetically acceptable base or delivery vehicle. Adhesive compositions according to the invention are hydrophilic and easily removed when scrubbed with water above a certain temperature, but not as easily removed with water below that temperature. The adhesive compositions are easy to manufacture, flexible and comfortable, and suitable for use on skin, lips, hair and nails, particularly to secure strips of false eyelashes and eyebrows, as well as individual lash and brow extensions. Cosmetic adhesives of the present invention may also be used to affix glitter or extensions to skin, hair, lips, or nails, and other cosmetic products to keratinic surfaces.
PETROLATUM-BASED DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND FOR ACTIVE INGREDIENTS
The present disclosure is broadly concerned with petrolatum-based compositions as a suspension matrix for the active ingredients. The disclosure is also concerned with processes for forming stable emulsions of active ingredients in petrolatum.
Method for preparing microcapsules by double emulsion
A method for preparing solid microcapsules, comprising the steps of adding under agitation a composition C1 comprising at least one active material to a cross-linkable liquid composition C2, the active material is not an additive to be used in the lubricant, fuel or bitumen industries, drilling sludges or muds, or oil exploration/production, compositions C1 and C2 being immiscible with each other. A first emulsion is obtained comprising droplets of composition C1 dispersed in composition C2, adding under agitation the first emulsion to a liquid composition C3, composition C3 and composition C2 being immiscible with each other, to obtain a second emulsion comprising droplets dispersed in composition C3. Loading the second emulsion in a mixer which applies a homogeneous controlled shear rate to said second emulsion, said shear rate being from 1 000 s-1 to 100 000 s-1, to obtain a third emulsion comprising droplets dispersed in composition C3, and cross-linking the droplets so that solid microcapsules dispersed in composition C3 are obtained.
EAR-CLEANSING AGENT FOR COMPANION ANIMALS AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The present invention relates to an ear-cleansing agent for companion animals and a method of manufacturing the same. More particularly, the present invention relates to an ear-cleansing agent for companion animals, which includes distilled Chamaecyparis obtusa water extracted from Chamaecyparis obtusa trees so as to enable antibacterial action, deodorization, and exfoliation and which does not include a surfactant so that the skin is not irritated even when the ear-cleansing agent is not washed away using water, and a method of manufacturing the same.
