Skin tightening compositions for application to the skin for providing an instantaneous and dramatic improvement to the appearance of skin. The skin tightening compositions typically include a dispersion (A) comprising i) at least two particle consisting of an ethylenic polymer, ii) at least stabilizers comprising at least one (C3-C12)cycloalkyl group, iii) at least one hydrocarbon-based fatty substance which is liquid at 20° C. and 1 atmosphere, iv) at least one polyol which is liquid at 20° C. and 1 atmosphere and optionally v) water, one ore more polyols, in addition to the one or more polyol(s) from A)iv), which may be the same or different than the one from A)iv); one or more volatile hydrocarbon, in addition to the one or more volatile hydrocarbon(s) from A)iii), which may be the same or different than the one from A)iii); one or more fillers.

The present disclosure relates to an anhydrous composition, and the composition according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes: a fatty alcohol; an emollient; a wax; and a poorly soluble substance, and has a viscosity of 300 cSt or more at 30 C., and can stabilize poorly soluble substances that provide effects to the human body to increase the moisture retention in the skin or hair, and can simultaneously provide softness and shine to the hair upon use, and exhibit excellent feeling of use without stickiness or residual feeling on the hands.

A substantially non-aqueous, stable, lyophilic dermatological concentrate comprised of: (i) a hydroxy acid, preferably selected from the group consisting of (a) azelaic acid at a concentration of at least about 20% or (b), ascorbic acid, at a concentration of up to about 30%; (ii) glycerin; and (ii) hyaluronan and/or an alginate, and derivatives thereof.

Described is a urogenital cleansing composition that includes a non-ionic cellulose ether, an aqueous solvent, a triglyceride oil and a pH-regulating agent, wherein the urogenital cleansing composition does not contain any additional emulsifier and have a pH within the range of from 3 to 4 and wherein the pH-regulating agent is a lactate buffer.

A cosmetic composition may be utilized to provide improved wear and transfer resistance. The cosmetic composition may include a (i) hydrogel dispersion in oil, the hydrogel having an ethylenic polymeric core, as well as (ii) a transfer-resistant film former, (iii) a hydrophilic active agent incorporated into the ethylenic polymeric core, or (iv) both (ii) and (iii). The dispersion may include a plurality of ethylenic polymeric core particles dispersed in a fatty substance that is liquid at 20° C. and 1 atmosphere that also includes a polymeric stabilizing agent.

There is described an oil-in-water emulsion free of surfactant agents comprising: A) At least a cross-polymer acrylate/alkyl-acrylate or derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof in the aqueous phase of the emulsion; b) At least a polyacrylate or derivatives thereof, or mixtures thereof in the oily phase of the emulsion, and c) At least a neutralizing agent. Further, the present invention refers to a process of obtaining a surfactant-free emulsion and its use in cosmetics and pharmaceuticals compositions. The emulsion in question can be applied to all kinds of skin, being also indicated for people with sensitive skin.

Perfume composition provided in the form of a plurality of dispersed perfume-containing droplets, suspended in an aqueous dispersing medium, said perfume droplets being mono-dispersed and having a diameter of 200 micrometres to 4000 micrometres, wherein said droplets comprise more than 60 wt %, of perfume ingredients, and wherein 25 wt or less of said perfume ingredients are linear or branched alkyl alcohols and/or alkenyl alcohols; 10 wt % or less of the perfume ingredients are aldehydes; and 10 wt % or less of the perfume ingredients have a ClogP less than 2.1.

The present disclosure is broadly concerned with petrolatum-based compositions as a suspension matrix for the active ingredients. The disclosure is also concerned with processes for forming stable emulsions of active ingredients in petrolatum.

A dispersion comprising a dispersed phase comprising drops and a continuous aqueous phase, preferably in gel form, wherein the drops comprise a fatty phase comprising at least one lipophilic gelling agent and at least one UV filter, wherein: the fatty phase has a melting point between 50° C. and 100° C., preferably between 60° C. and 90° C., and, at room temperature and atmospheric pressure, meets the following physical/chemical criteria—a hardness (x) of between 2 and 14 N, preferably between 2.5 and 12 N, more preferably between 3 and 9 N, and most preferably between 4 and 6 N; and an adhesiveness (y) greater than or equal to −2 N, and better still, greater than or equal to −1 N, and in particular greater than or equal to −0.6 N; and the dispersion does not comprise amodimethicone.

Disclosed herein are oral care compositions comprising an orally acceptable vehicle, calcium carbonate and a preservative system comprising benzyl alcohol, benzoic acid or a salt of benzoic acid; and an alkylene glycol.
