The controller estimates the state of health (SoH) of the battery in accordance with the relaxation voltage.

Sensor data is read from one or more onboard sensors of the data hub and stored as structural and/or environmental data in the data buffer. The environmental data is processed to determine an operating status of a vehicle being used with the data hub and an energy harvester of the vehicle is controlled to harvest energy from the vehicle based on the operating status. One or more of the operating status, the source data, and the environmental data is wirelessly transmitted from the data hub to an external device.

A generator set for a transport climate control unit is provided that is operable at a first frequency and a second frequency. The generator set includes a generator, a prime mover configured to operate at a first non-zero speed and a second non-zero speed that is less than the first non-zero speed, and a genset controller configured to control operation of the generator set. When operating at the first non-zero speed, the genset controller is configured to monitor a prime mover load parameter to determine whether the prime mover is approaching or has exceeded an overload or stall situation. The genset controller is configured to reduce the speed of the prime mover from the first non-zero speed to the second non-zero speed to prevent the overload or stall situation.

The housing is further embodied to mechanically secure the motor cable to a component of the rail vehicle and/or to mechanically connect the motor cable to a further motor cable.

A vehicular power system includes a battery branch including a battery unit arranged in series with a diode, and a high-capacity unit having a maximum voltage that exceeds a nominal voltage of the battery unit. The battery branch and high-capacity unit are arranged in parallel, to feed a load side of the vehicular power system. The battery branch further includes a switching arrangement configured to disconnect the battery unit in response to excessive load-side current. The switching arrangement may allow the high-capacity unit to inject current into the load side at a voltage less than the nominal voltage of the battery unit and/or may allow the high-capacity unit to absorb regenerated current from the load side at a voltage which is greater than the nominal voltage of the battery unit.

Each of zone ECUs outputs a control signal to one of power supply ICs so as to distribute, to the first and second electronic devices, the power supplied to one of the power supply hubs by one of the main power supply lines.
