Solar trackers that may be advantageously employed on sloped and/or variable terrain to rotate solar panels to track motion of the sun across the sky include bearing assemblies and other mechanical features configured to address mechanical challenges posed by the sloped and/or variable terrain that might otherwise prevent or complicate use of solar trackers on such terrain.

Provided is a rotary electric machine including a stator including a plurality of stator pieces, a rotor being arranged inside the stator and rotating about a rotation axis, a housing holding the stator and the rotor, a lid member preventing the stator and the rotor from coming out of the housing, and a cylindrical frame forming the stator by containing the plurality of stator pieces and being internally mounted in the housing, in which a first fixing portion and a second fixing portion for fixing the frame to the housing are disposed at both end portions of the frame along an extending direction of the rotation axis.

An object of the present invention is to hold a holding member appropriately in a casing. A rotary electric machine includes a rotor having a drive shaft, a stator provided on an outer periphery of the rotor, a bearing B2 that rotatably supports the drive shaft, a holding member that contains an aluminum alloy member and holds the bearing, and a casing that houses the rotor, the stator, the bearing, and the holding member. The casing is made of a member that does not grow permanently or an aluminum alloy member that is permanently grown when the holding member is fixed to the casing. The holding member is in a state before permanent growth before being fixed in the casing, and the holding member grows permanently to be fixed more firmly to the casing.

A stator includes a cylindrical shaft extending in an axial direction, annular portions positioned side by side in the axial direction radially outside the shaft and extending in a radial direction, pole teeth extending in the axial direction from a radially outer end portion of each of the annular portions, and one or more coils between the annular portions adjacent to each other in the axial direction and wound around the shaft. The shaft includes at least one slit recessed radially inward from an outer peripheral surface of the shaft and extending along the axial direction. A portion of the at least one slit is radially inside the annular portion. A lead wire of the coil is accommodated in the at least one slit.

A drive unit includes an electric motor, an MCU to supply a driving current to the electric motor, and a bracket fixing the MCU to the electric motor with a gap between the MCU and the electric motor. The electric motor includes a stator case accommodating a stator, a first housing including a bearing that supports one side of an output shaft of a rotor, and a second housing including a bearing that supports another side of the output shaft of the rotor. The bracket supporting the MCU is attached to the first housing and the second housing and not to the stator case.

A drive unit includes an electric motor, an MCU to supply a driving current to the electric motor, and a bracket fixing the MCU to the electric motor with a gap between the MCU and the electric motor. The electric motor includes a stator case accommodating a stator, a first housing including a bearing that supports one side of an output shaft of a rotor, and a second housing including a bearing that supports another side of the output shaft of the rotor. The bracket supporting the MCU is attached to the first housing and the second housing and not to the stator case.

Disclosed is an electric motor, in particular for a vehicle drive. In one example, the electric motor has a housing (12) and a rotor shaft (14) which is accommodated in the housing (12) such that it can rotate via bearings (16). The housing (12) and the rotor shaft (14) are electrically connected to one another via a singular electrically conductive contact ring (42) to ground the rotor shaft (14).

Disclosed is an electric motor, in particular for a vehicle drive. In one example, the electric motor has a housing (12) and a rotor shaft (14) which is accommodated in the housing (12) such that it can rotate via bearings (16).
