The present invention relates to a composition suitable for treating hair comprising a polymer selected from the group consisting of a branched polylysine and a branched polylysine in which to 80% of the amino groups present in the branched polylysine are derivatized so that they bear one or two substituents, and comprising at least one surfactant. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a branched polylysine in which 1 to 80% of the amino groups present in the branched polylysine are derivatized so that they bear one or two substituents, wherein these substituents are acyl groups having 6 to 24 C-atoms. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of a branched polylysine or of the branched polylysine in which amino groups are derivatized or of the said composition for treating hair. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a process for treating hair comprising contacting the hair with a branched polylysine or with the branched polylysine in which amino groups are derivatized or with the said composition.

COPOLYMER HAVING CARBOSILOXANE DENDRIMER STRUCTURE AND ACIDIC GROUP, COMPOSITION CONTAINING SAME, AND COSMETIC

The copolymer is generally polymerized from a monomer composition comprising: (A) a carbosiloxane dendrimer monomer having a radically polymerizable organic group; and (B) an unsaturated monomer having at least one acidic group or a salt thereof per molecule; wherein monomer (A) is present in the monomer composition in an amount greater than or equal to 30 wt. % relative to the weight of the monomer composition, and a weight ratio (A/B) of monomer (A) to monomer (B) is from 1.0 to 20.0.

Cosmetic compositions, systems and methods for conferring responsive durable shaping of keratinous fibers employ at least one shape memory polymer that includes a four-armed branched polyethylene glycol (PEG) based polymer that is functionalized with one or more metal-coordination active groups. The shape memory polymer forms a crosslinked network coating on a substrate, for example a substrate selected from keratinous substrates, for example, hair. Hair coated with the shape memory polymer and treated with an oxidizing agent can be shaped, locked into shape, and reprogrammed by modulation of pH. The coated hair retains durable shaping properties through at least one shampoo treatment. The cosmetic compositions, systems and methods provide durable and reprogrammable durable shaping of the keratinous substrate, for example for styling hair.
