ROTATIONAL MOTOR
A rotational motor that comprises a stator and a rotor and at least two magnets comprising a permanent magnet and an electromagnet, wherein one of the magnets is attached to the stator and one of the magnets is attached to the rotor. The magnets are relatively aligned such that when the electromagnet is switched off, the permanent magnet is attracted to a ferromagnetic core of the electromagnet causing the rotor to rotate relative to the stator, and when the electromagnet is switched on, the permanent magnet is repelled from the electromagnet causing the rotor to continue to rotate relative to the stator.
Pop-Up Laminate Structure Including Miniature Optical Components
A pop-up laminate structure includes rigid layers, at least one flexible layer, at least one optical component, and an actuator. At least one of the rigid layers defines gaps extending there through to form a plurality of rigid segments separated by the gaps in the rigid layer. The flexible layer is bonded to the rigid segments to form joints for folding. The optical component is mounted to a rigid layer and configured to generate, capture or alter a light beam. The actuator is mounted to at least one of the rigid layers and configured to displace at least one rigid segment that, in turn, displaces the optical component. At least some of the layers are bonded to adjacent layers only at selected locations forming islands of inter-layer bonds to allow expansion of the laminate into an expanded three-dimensional structure.
Hybrid magnetic engine/generator apparatus and method
An improved hybrid magnetic engine/generator apparatus and method includes a shaft. A pair of oppositely positioned ferrous metal arms is connected to the shaft where the ferrous metal arms include a first end and a second end. Wire is wrapped in non-overlapping fashion around the ferrous metal arms and the wire includes a positive power connection and a negative power connection. A power source is connected with positive power connection and the negative power connection. A stacking magnet is located at the second end of the ferrous metal arms and an opposing magnet is located opposite from and in proximity to the first end of both of the oppositely positioned ferrous metal arms. A device for selectively connecting with the power source is provided such that the wire is intermittently charged such that polarity at the first end of the ferrous metal arms is intermittently changed.
END WINDING FLUX MOTOR
An end winding flux motor is provided, which is axially connected at an end of a traditional motor, the traditional motor comprises a stator and a rotor, and the rotor is inserted into the stator; a stator winding is mounted on the stator and includes an end winding protruding from an end of the stator, and the end winding flux motor includes an end extension piece, a rotor yoke and a magnetic steel; one end of the end extension piece is connected with the stator. The winding of the motor is utilized in this way in the present disclosure to increase a power density of the motor, improve a heat dissipation capability of the end winding, and increase a “torque-current ratio” of the motor.
Solid state multi-pole and uni-pole electric generator rotor for AC/DC electric generators
A solid-state electromagnetic rotor, including a plurality of salient pole pieces arranged around a supporting structure, wherein a first end of each salient pole piece is attached to the support structure and a second end of each salient pole piece points outward away from the supporting structure. The wires wound around each salient pole piece, wherein when the wires of the plurality of salient pole pieces are sequentially excited by an excitation circuit. The salient pole pieces are energized to provide a moving polar magnetic field in the form of distinct magnetic poles as desired to accomplish power generation.
Motor for vehicle
A motor for a vehicle may include: a shaft member rotatably installed; a magnet attached to the outside of the shaft member; a cover covering the magnet, and fixing the magnet on the shaft member; and a stator disposed outside the cover and the magnet. A distance between the cover and the stator may be equal to a distance between the magnet and the stator.
SOLID STATE MULTI-POLE AND UNI-POLE ELECTRIC GENERATOR ROTOR FOR AC/DC ELECTRIC GENERATORS
A solid-state electromagnetic rotor, comprising a plurality of salient pole pieces arranged around a supporting structure, wherein a first end of each salient pole piece is attached to the support structure and a second end of each salient pole piece points outward away from the supporting structure; and wires wound around each salient pole piece, wherein when the wires of the plurality of salient pole pieces are sequentially excited by an excitation circuit, the salient pole pieces are energized to provide a moving polar magnetic field in the form of distinct magnetic poles as desired to accomplish power generation.
COMPRESSIBLE MOTOR, IMPLANTATION ARRANGEMENT, AND METHOD FOR POSITIONING THE MOTOR
The invention relates to a motor with a stator and a rotor, which can be driven about an axial direction. The invention is characterized in that at least one of the stator and the rotor, in particular the stator, which has a winding arrangement that can be supplied with a current, can be radially compressed and expanded.
Electric machine, in particular for a motor vehicle
An electric machine has a stator, which has at least one first magnet and at least one second magnet, and a rotor, which can be driven by the magnets and can rotate about an axis of rotation relative to the stator. The first magnet is held on a first ring and the second magnet is held on a second ring following the first ring in the axial direction of the electric machine. The second ring can, together with the second magnet, rotate about the axis of rotation relative to the first ring and the first magnet.
Magnetic Flux Engine for Spacecraft Propulsion
As is scientifically well know magnetic flux is a physical force (i.e. the Lorentz force and Ampere's force). The invention utilizes a plurality of electromagnetic and or plasma coils to create high pressure, high velocity magnetic flux directed through variable exhaust nozzles or a cone shaped electrical coil to create thrust for spacecraft.
