An insulator according to an embodiment is attached to teeth extending from one side surface in a radial direction of a ring-shaped stator core in the radial direction. The insulator ensures insulation between the teeth and a rectangular wire wound around the teeth with a number of windings. The insulator includes an end-surface cover portion, two side-surface cover portions, a first wall portion, a second wall portion, a protruding-stripe portion, and a recess. The end-surface cover portion covers an end surface of the teeth in an axial direction. The two side-surface cover portions cover both side surfaces of the teeth in a circumferential direction. At one side-surface cover portion of the two side-surface cover portions, a first winding of the rectangular wire is disposed, the rectangular wire is wound around the teeth with a number of windings, and the protruding-stripe portion and the recess are formed.

STATOR COMPRISING AN INTERCONNECTOR

A stator for a rotary electric machine including a stator body, a winding having at least one bundle axially projecting from the stator body and winding ends extending from the stator body. An interconnector is mounted on the winding, the interconnector including an insulating body and traces including trace ends extending from the insulating body, the winding ends being assembled on the trace ends, wherein the interconnector also includes at least one means for positioning the interconnector on the winding in a radial direction.

Winding wires (23a) respectively electrically connect circumferentially-adjacent pairs of the coils (23). A short circuiting device (25) short circuits respective pairs of windings (23a) that are located diagonally or diametrically across from one another.

A stator for a rotary electric machine includes a stator body having an axis (X), and a winding including at least one overhang projecting axially from the stator body and winding ends extending axially beyond the overhang from the stator body. Also included is an interconnector mounted on the overhang of the winding, including an insulating body and at least one track having track ends. At least two winding ends are each assembled with one of the corresponding track ends, and the track ends are symmetrical relative to a plane containing the axis and relative to a plane transverse to the axis.

A stator has a stator coil provided on an annular stator core. The stator coil is formed of electrical conductor wires each including an electrical conductor and an insulating coat. Each of the electrical conductor wires has a pair of exposed portions where the electrical conductor is exposed from the insulating coat and a covered portion where the electrical conductor is covered with the insulating coat. The pair of exposed portions are formed respectively at opposite end portions of the electrical conductor wire. The covered portion is formed at other portions of the electrical conductor wire than the end portions. At a coil end part of the stator coil, each corresponding pair of the exposed portions of the electrical conductor wires are welded together and each of the covered portions of the electrical conductor wires includes a coat-removed portion where the insulating coat is locally removed from the covered portion.
