Sterilization Particle Containing a Sterilization Material
A sterilization particle includes a porous carrier material having at least one of the following: a microporous material, a mesoporous material, a macroporous material, or a combination thereof; and a sterilization material contained in pores of the porous carrier material or adsorbed on a surface of the porous carrier material. The sterilization material includes at least 4 weight percent of the sterilization particle. A sterilization device, a method for preparing a sterilization particle, and a method for sterilizing a space are also disclosed.
OZONE GENERATION APPARATUSES AND METHODS OF TREATING WOUNDS
An ozone generation apparatus includes a flexible and porous gas permeable treatment patch configured to be releasably secured to a user's body such that an exterior surface of the treatment patch directly contacts skin on the user's body, and an ozone generating unit fluidically coupled to the treatment patch and configured to provide a flow of ozone through pores in the treatment patch toward and out through the exterior surface of the treatment patch. In certain embodiments, the patch may be used for combination therapies in which both ozone and antibiotics are simultaneously applied to the user's body.
Automated cell culture incubator
Aspects relate to an automated cell culture incubator and to methods for using such an incubator. In one aspect, the cell culture incubator includes an incubator cabinet having a transfer chamber and an internal chamber that are arranged to form an airlock configuration. In some embodiments, objects placed into the incubator cabinet are sterilized using ozone produced by an ozone generator. The incubator may include one or more transfer devices that move objects between the transfer chamber and the internal chamber.
METHODS AND DEVICES FOR STERILIZING ORGANIC PRODUCTS
The invention relates to sterilizing one or more samples of an organic product placed in a chamber of a sterilization device. The method includes, introducing a specified quantity of a gaseous composition comprising a predefined proportion of ozone and carbon monoxide through at least one inlet of the chamber. The method includes, subjecting each sample with ultraviolet light and the gaseous composition for predefined time period in a controlled atmosphere maintained at 90-100% humidity level and a temperature of −10 to 5 degree Celsius within the chamber. The method includes releasing the gaseous composition through at least one outlet from the chamber upon completion of the predefined time period, while simultaneously introducing purified air into chamber through the at least one inlet, until presence of the gaseous composition in the atmosphere of the chamber reaches below a threshold value.
Hand Cleaning Device
A device for reducing a level of infectious agents present on one or more hands of a user. This device may reduce the level of infectious agents present on one or more fingers and/or thumbs of a user, specifically reducing a level of infectious agents present on the distal aspect of the digit; including, but not limited to an underside of a nail plate, and an area of hyponychium skin between a free margin of the nail plate and an onychodermal band of a digit, such as for example, a finger, thumb, or toe.
Portable apparatus for decontamination of a breast
A portable device for the decontamination of a breast. The aim of the device is to reduce the risk of mastitis, even when the patient has a medicament incompatibility. For this purpose, the invention includes a decontamination unit which decontaminates the breast at least by means of a physical method.
PROCESS FOR DISINFECTION AND PROTECTING SURFACES FROM CONTAMINATION
A process for disinfecting a surface comprising at least two steps, step i) comprises applying a first disinfectant to the surface to kill microorganisms and viruses on the surface; and step ii) comprises applying an antimicrobial solution to the disinfected surface to form a prophylactic film to prevent microbial growth. An optional step iii) of testing or monitoring the surface for contamination is also provided.
AQUEOUS OZONE GENERATOR CARTRIDGE WITH A WATER TREATMENT MANIFOLD
An illustrative expendable or reconstructable ozone generator cartridge for an aqueous ozone delivery device, for example, for antimicrobial sanitizing and/or medical treatment, includes a housing for a water treatment manifold providing parallel and operably fixed water pathways through ozone generating cells coupled to the manifold, and optionally a data logging and authentication feature.
Methods and devices for sanitation, disinfection and sterilization
The present invention relates to methods and devices for diminishing microbes. The invention provides methods and devices to sanitize, disinfect and sterilize areas, spaces, surfaces and items as well as to sanitize human skin. The methods and devices will be of major importance to the healthcare industry and to other industries or physical environments that require sanitizing, disinfecting or sterilizing. The methods comprise the use of near infrared light (NIR), UV, violet and blue emitting LED elements as well as OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diodes) as a stand-alone technology. Optionally the system may be used in combination with ozone and ionized silver.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MONITORING DISINFECTION OF A DEVICE
Various embodiments illustrated herein disclose a method for monitoring disinfection of a device. The method includes receiving sensor data from a plurality of sensors positioned at a respective plurality of surfaces of the device. The sensor data indicates that a disinfecting agent is applied on one or more surfaces of the plurality of surfaces of the device. The method further includes determining at least one exposure characteristic based on the sensor data. The at least one exposure characteristic is associated with disinfection of the one or more surfaces of the device by the disinfecting agent. The method further includes comparing the at least one exposure characteristic to a threshold parameter associated with the at least one exposure characteristic. In response to the comparison, the method further includes generating a notification indicating that the one or more surfaces of the device are disinfected.
