Methods for producing high-concentration of dissolved ozone in liquid media
Disclosed are methods for continuous production of ozone strong water, the methods comprising the steps of injecting an acidification agent into a pressurized feed water to maintain a pH value of the pressurized feed water below 7, diffusing a two-phase mixture of O.sub.2-O.sub.3 gas and recirculated water into a body of acidic pressurized water to dissolve ozone into the acidic pressurized water. The disclosed methods include simultaneously maintaining a start-up mode in an upper portion of the dissolution column that favors high efficiency of ozone mass transfer into the acidic pressurized water and a steady state mode in a lower portion of the dissolution column that favors a high concentration of dissolved ozone in the acidic pressurized water coexistent in the body of the acidic pressurized water, wherein an ozone concentration gradient is formed along a height of the body of the acidic pressurized water.
RECYCLED PULP, ABSORBENT, NON-WOVEN FABRIC, AND SANITARY ARTICLE
Recycled pulp that derives from a used sanitary article includes an antibacterial activity value of 2.0 or more and an acid. Recycled pulp that derives from a used sanitary article includes an antibacterial activity value of 2.0 or more and an ash content of 0.65% by weight or less, and further includes an acid. The acid is a citric acid. The recycled pulp further includes a cationic antibacterial agent. The cationic antibacterial agent is a quaternary ammonium salt. The cationic antibacterial agent is a benzalkonium chloride or a cetylpyridinium chloride. At least a portion of the cationic antibacterial agent is adsorbed on the recycled pulp.
Technologies for sanitizing reservoirs
Technologies (e.g., devices, systems and methods) for sanitizing reservoirs are described. In some embodiments, the technologies include a sanitization gas system and a connector unit or a hole in the reservoir wall, configured to connect a supply line to the reservoir. The connector unit may include an inlet passageway for supplying sanitizing gas (e.g., ozone) into the reservoir.
Systems for producing high-concentration of dissolved ozone in liquid media
Disclosed are systems for continuous production of ozone strong water, the systems comprising an injection device that injects an acidification agent into a pressurized feed liquid, a diffuser device that injects ozone into a body of the acidic pressurized feed water, and injection nozzles each controlled by a valve that adjust a flow rate of the ozone strong water discharged from a dissolution column to match a flow rate of the acidic pressurized feed water fed to the dissolution column, thereby maintaining a start-up mode in an upper portion of the dissolution column that favors a high efficiency of ozone mass transfer and a steady-state mode in a lower portion of the dissolution column that favors a high dissolved ozone concentration coexistent in the body of the acidic pressurized liquid, wherein a concentration gradient of dissolved ozone is formed along a height of the body of the acidic pressurized liquid.
Environmental sanitizer and odor remover for purification of foods, surfaces, air and water with disposable ozone generation electrode, pressure/flow adaptable venturi injector and aqueous phase filter device
A dielectric assembly for generating ozone includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, a dielectric for generating the ozone, and a knob adapted to extend outside of a housing into which the dielectric assembly is to be placed. A system is also provided for sanitizing and deodorizing water, food, surfaces and air including a microbiological reduction filter device having an input connected to a water supply, a venturi injector disposed within a housing and connected to an output of the microbiological reduction filter device which generates ozone and mixes the generated ozone with the water, and an electrode assembly comprising a plurality of electrodes, a dielectric for generating the ozone, and a knob extending outside of the housing. The dielectric in a first embodiment and the entire dielectric assembly in a second embodiment can be removed from the housing and replaced in its entirety by the knob.
Method and apparatus for extending the shelf life of ozonated water
A method and apparatus for significantly extending the shelf life of an inert gas infused fluid. Air that has been subjected to a high electrical potential corona and then mixed with a fluid in a constant differential pressure venturi is delivered to an improved container apparatus wherein an inert gas is infused into the fluid such that the resultant stabilized fluid demonstrates significantly improved usable life. Alternatively, an additive may be combined to provide application specific characteristics. The combination of the method and apparatus, taken together, provide substantially increased shelf life of an inert gas infused fluid.
Method for manufacturing recycled pulp from used sanitary article
The present invention addresses the problem of efficiently manufacturing a recycled pulp from a used sanitary article, said recycled pulp being reusable for sanitary articles and having an ash content and antibacterial properties both meeting the standards for sanitary articles. A method for manufacturing a recycled pulp reusable for sanitary articles by recovering a pulp fiber from a used sanitary article that contains the pulp fiber and a high water-absorbing polymer, said method comprising an ozone treatment step for immersing the used sanitary article or pulp fiber in an ozone-containing aqueous solution and thus disintegrating the high water-absorbing polymer contained in the used sanitary article or sticking to the pulp fiber, characterized in that the used sanitary article or pulp fiber is treated with a cationic antibacterial agent before, after or together with the ozone treatment step.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR STERILIZATION OF FLUIDS
The invention relates to a system and method to sanitize a fluid while it is moving through a distribution system. The invention provides significant improvements in efficacy and reductions in cost over previous approaches. At least one embodiment of the invention is applicable to commercial, industrial, military, government, public and private facilities that employ forced-air ventilation systems, especially those with comparatively dense human occupancy. The invention has particular utility in hospitals, health care facilities, manufacturing facilities, offices, apartments and dormitories, military housing, afford and schools, as well as on ships, commercial airliners and in public and private transportation. At least one embodiment of the invention may be used to deliver UV-C to a specific surgical site to sanitize the site to prevent future infection.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR STERILIZING STERILIZATION FILTER UNIT
To sterilize a sterilization filter unit with heated steam, minimize the heat load on the sterilization filter unit and extend the service life of the sterilization filter unit.
Heated steam is supplied to a sterilization filter unit that sterilizes supplied air, the temperature of the heated steam discharged from the sterilization filter unit is measured at predetermined time intervals, the F value is calculated from the measured temperature, and sterilization of the sterilization filter unit is ended when the F value reaches a target value.
