The present invention relates to methods and devices for diminishing microbes. The invention provides methods and devices to sanitize, disinfect and sterilize areas, spaces, surfaces and items as well as to sanitize human skin. The methods and devices will be of major importance to the healthcare industry and to other industries or physical environments that require sanitizing, disinfecting or sterilizing. The methods comprise the use of near infrared light (NIR), UV, violet and blue emitting LED elements as well as OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diodes) as a stand-alone technology. Optionally the system may be used in combination with ozone and ionized silver.

MATERIAL WITH SUPERCAPACITANCE MODIFIED SURFACE AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Disclosed are a material with supercapacitance modified surface and a preparation method and application thereof. Specifically, the present disclosure introduces a material having a controllably supercapacitive surface. The surface is chargeable, the full-charged modified surface can interact with bacteria disturbing the electron transfer of respiratory chain of bacteria and inhibiting the growth and reproduction of bacteria in a short-term. The antibacterial rate can be improved by cyclically charging-discharging without losing capacitance, and prevent formation of biofilm of bacteria. The antibacterial system can quantitatively control the antibacterial process without affecting the biocompatibility of the material, and has the advantages of environmental protection and controllability.

Metal Coated Substrates for Filters
An anti-microbial metal coating may be applied to filter membranes for use in actively depressing microbial viability in filtration applications. The anti-microbial metal coating may be applied to substrates that are considered to be sensitive to damage by conventional metal coating techniques or resistant to metal bonding. The coating may be applied from a salt absorbed to the substrate in solution, converted to a reducible form with a conversion agent, and reduced to active metal format through a low temperature plasma treatment.
