Programmable driver for frequency mixer

The disclosure relates to technology for shifting a frequency range of a signal. In one aspect, a circuit comprises a frequency mixer, a frequency synthesizer configured to generate an oscillator signal, a programmable driver, and a controller. The programmable driver is configured to receive the oscillator signal from the frequency synthesizer and to provide the oscillator signal to the oscillator input of the frequency mixer. The programmable driver is configured to have a variable drive strength. The controller is configured to control the drive strength of the programmable driver based on a frequency of the oscillator signal to adjust a rise time and a fall time of the oscillator signal at the oscillator input of the frequency mixer.

GAAS MONOLITHIC INTEGRATED TERAHERTZ LOW-NOISE COMMUNICATION SYSTEM TRANSCEIVER FRONT-END

The present disclosure provides a GaAs monolithic integrated terahertz low-noise communication system transceiver front-end, including an intermediate frequency circuit and a terahertz circuit. The terahertz circuit includes a local oscillator frequency tripler, a local oscillator unidirectional 3 dB filter coupler, a radio frequency 180° filter coupler, and two terahertz GaAs monolithic integrated subharmonic mixers. The local oscillator unidirectional 3 dB filter coupler and the radio frequency 180° filter coupler each include one ring-cylindrical resonant cavity and four rectangular waveguides. The ring-cylindrical resonant cavity is divided into four rectangular waveguides which are correspondingly connected to the four sector-annular resonant cavities, respectively. The present disclosure suppresses the local oscillator noise by adopting a local oscillator unidirectional 3 dB filter coupler and a radio frequency 180° filter coupler with both coupling and filtering functions, thereby achieving a low local oscillator noise transceiver front-end.

Mixing circuit with high harmonic suppression ratio

The present disclosure provides a mixing circuit with high harmonic suppression ratio, including: a multi-phase generation module, which receives a first input signal and generates eight first square wave signals with a phase difference of 45°; a quadrature phase generation module, which receives a second input signal and generates four second square wave signals with a phase difference of 90°; a harmonic suppression module, connected with an output end of the quadrature phase generation module to filter out higher order harmonic components in the second square wave signals; and a mixing module, connected with output ends of the multi-phase generation module and the harmonic suppression module to mix output signals of the multi-phase generation module and the harmonic suppression module. The mixing circuit with high harmonic suppression ratio adds a harmonic suppression module on the basis of multi-phase mixing, thereby improving the harmonic suppression ratio of the output signal.

An example apparatus comprises memory storing one or more sensor event messages, a radio configured to determine a sensor event, a counter configured to output incremental counter states, and a control circuitry. The control circuitry may be configured to determine, based on the sensor event, a select sensor event message of the one or more sensor event messages. The control circuitry may be further configured to output, via the radio signal, a packet comprising the select event message and an indication of a counter state associated with the sensor event message.

The device includes a semiconductor substrate, at least one transmit antenna configured to transmit millimeter range radio waves over a 3D space below the skin surface of a person, multiple receive antennas configured to receive radio waves, the received radio waves including a reflected portion of the transmitted radio waves, wherein the semiconductor substrate includes circuits for processing signals received on the multiple receive antennas, wherein processing signals includes mixing signals of two different frequencies, and wherein the semiconductor substrate includes at least one output configured to output a signal that corresponds to a health parameter of a person in response to received radio waves.

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support reconfiguring degeneration components in a converged RF transceiver supporting carrier aggregation across sub-6 GHz frequency bands and mmWave frequency bands. In a first aspect, an apparatus includes an input port configured to receive a mixer input signal; a first mixer forming at least a portion of an HRM mixer and coupled to the input port; a first configurable degeneration component of a first processing path coupled between the input port and the first mixer; and a controller coupled to the first degeneration component, wherein the controller is configured to control a first aspect of a first degeneration component.
