FRONT-END AMPLIFIER CIRCUITS FOR BIOMEDICAL ELECTRONICS
A front-end amplifier circuit for receiving a biological signal includes a signal channel. The signal channel amplifies the biological signal to generate a detection current and includes a capacitive-coupled transconductance amplifier. The capacitive-coupled transconductance amplifier amplifies the biological signal with a transconductance gain to generate a first current.
VOLTAGE CLAMPING CIRCUIT
A voltage clamping circuit is provided. In an embodiment, the voltage clamping circuit includes a plurality of gain shifting circuits and a signal processing circuit. The plurality of gain shifting circuits receive an input voltage and voltage levels to generate a plurality of shifted voltages. The signal processing circuit generates a difference value of the plurality of shifted voltages to generate an output voltage according to the difference value, such that the voltage clamping circuit achieves an implementation of a passing band or a rejection of the input voltage.
Power amplification module
Provided is a power amplification module that includes: an amplification transistor that has a constant power supply voltage supplied to a collector thereof, a bias current supplied to a base thereof and that amplifies an input signal input to the base thereof and outputs an amplified signal from the collector thereof; a first current source that outputs a first current that corresponds to a level control voltage that is for controlling a signal level of the amplified signal; and a bias transistor that has the first current supplied to a collector thereof, a bias control voltage connected to a base thereof and that outputs the bias current from an emitter thereof.
Tunable transformer
Techniques are disclosed implementing a tunable transformer with additional taps in at least one of the three coils. The tunable transformer enables the resonant frequency within RF transceiver matching networks to be adjusted without substantially impacting the output power at resonance. The tunability of the transformer is partially driven by the insertion of additional coils within the transformer, which are selectively switched and may be further coupled with a tunable capacitance. The tunability of the transformer is further driven via the use of at least one multi-tap transformer coil, which allows electronic components to be coupled to different coil taps to thereby facilitate an adjustable DC inductance. Doing so counteracts changes in mutual inductance between the non-switched coils, and facilitates the stabilization of output power with shifts in resonant frequency.
Compositions of influenza hemagglutinin with heterologous epitopes and/or altered maturation cleavage sites and methods of use thereof
Modified forms of hemagglutinin (HA) protein including those with modified immunodominant regions and with modified maturation cleavage sites, and virus and virus-like particles containing them are disclosed.
TRANS-IMPEDANCE AMPLIFIER FOR ULTRASOUND DEVICE AND RELATED APPARATUS AND METHODS
A variable current trans-impedance amplifier (TIA) for an ultrasound device is described. The TIA may be coupled to an ultrasonic transducer to amplify an output signal of the ultrasonic transducer representing an ultrasound signal received by the ultrasonic transducer. During acquisition of the ultrasound signal by the ultrasonic transducer, one or more current sources in the TIA may be varied.
Amplifier circuit with high-order damping circuit and the high-order damping circuit
An amplifier circuit with in-band gain degradation compensation is shown. The amplifier circuit has an input-stage amplifier, at least one intermediate-stage amplifier, and an output-stage amplifier cascaded between an input port and an output port of the amplifier circuit. A compensation capacitor is coupled between the output port of the amplifier circuit and an output port of the input-stage amplifier. A high-order damping circuit is coupled to an output port of the intermediate-stage amplifier.
MULTIPURPOSE FRONT-END BOARD TO CHARACTERIZE SOLID-STATE SENSORS FOR PARTICLE DETECTION
A multipurpose front-end board for solid state sensors is described. In particular, the board is optimized for fast timing particle detection or for characterization and test of silicon and diamond detectors that produce a fast but small current signal at the passage of a particle. The multipurpose front-end board includes a sensor pad configured to receive a solid state sensor to be characterized, distribute a bias potential, and read out the current signal produced by the sensor. The board also includes an amplifier configured to read out the current signal from the sensor pad and convert the current signal to an output voltage signal and a discriminator configured to receive the output voltage signal from the amplifier. A threshold voltage of the discriminator can be controlled by a potentiometer, and the board includes at least one output port to provide data for characterization of the sensor.
