Square wave generating method and square wave generating circuit
The present application provides a square wave generating method, applied in a square wave generating circuit, configured to generate a mimetic square wave signal, wherein the square wave generating circuit has a breakdown voltage. The square wave generating method comprises the square wave generating circuit generating the mimetic square wave signal as a first voltage during a first time interval; the square wave generating circuit generating the mimetic square wave signal as a second voltage during a second time interval; and the square wave generating circuit generating the mimetic square wave signal as a transient voltage during a transient interval between the first time interval and the second time interval, wherein the transient voltage is between the first voltage and the second voltage; wherein a first voltage difference between the first voltage and the second voltage is greater than the breakdown voltage.
Method and apparatus for generating high current, fast rise time step-functions
Method and apparatus to produce a step function with a designed transition (rise and/or fall) time on the order of <10 ns that reaches steady state by implementing a system that sums a number of currents at different rise times (frequencies) to generate the step function. The system also includes a passive output filter, composed of low resistance, inductance and very low capacitance to mitigate overshoot and high frequency noise.
DIGITAL SINUSOID GENERATOR
A recursive digital sinusoid generator generates recursive values used in the production of a digital sinusoid output. The recursive values are generated at a first frequency. A sinusoid value generator generates replacement values at a second frequency, wherein the second frequency is less than the first frequency. The generated recursive values are periodically replaced with the generated replacement values without interrupting production of the digital sinusoid output at the first frequency. This periodic replacement effectively corrects for a finite precision error which accumulates in the recursive values over time.
