Electronic device with near-field antenna operating through display
An electronic device may have a display. A display cover layer and a transparent inner display member may overlap a display pixel layer. The display pixel layer may have an array of display pixels for displaying images for a user. A touch sensor layer may be interposed between the display pixel layer and the transparent display member. A ferromagnetic shielding layer may be mounted below the display pixel layer. A flexible printed circuit containing coils of metal signal lines that form a near-field communications loop antenna may be interposed between the ferromagnetic shielding layer and the display pixel layer. A non-near-field antenna such as an inverted-F antenna may have a resonating element mounted on an inner surface of the display cover layer. The resonating element may be interposed between the transparent display member and the display cover layer.
File transmission/reception device and control method of file transmission/reception device
According to one embodiment, a file transmission/reception device includes a communication direction managing unit and an application unit. The communication direction managing unit, in near field communication, cuts off a connection with an opposing device in a case where a conflict occurs with the opposing device, and, after being reconnected to the opposing device, switches the file transmission/reception device to any one mode of a master mode and a slave mode. The application unit performs transmission, reception, or transmission/reception of a file between the opposing device and the file transmission/reception device in the master mode or the slave mode in accordance with a mode specified by the communication direction managing unit.
TRANSACTION-SPECIFIC CUSTOMER SURVEY SYSTEM
Provided are a method and system for automatically generating context-based survey questions predicated on the customers' actual purchase experience with the merchant, thus eliminating for the customer the need to respond to obvious, redundant, and even irrelevant questions, and providing to the merchant customer feedback directly bound to the actual purchase event and correlating data. Purchase information is stored at the time of purchase and the customer is given an identifier for the purchase. Then, at the customer's convenience, either at the point of sale or through a networked computer, the customer can provide responses to questions that are selectively and automatically generated based on the items purchased, or other definable attributes associated with the sale, and based upon configurable preferences of the merchant. Survey questions are displayed and feedback responses are stored, analyzed and associated with purchase information in real time.
WIRELESS CABIN SEATBACK SCREEN LOCATION DETERMINATION
A passenger unit for use on-board a passenger vehicle (e.g., an in-flight entertainment device) includes a display, a memory storing a passenger unit identifier, a network interface, and a connector configured to physically couple to a connector on a mounting unit, where the mounting unit is installed on, or proximate to, a particular seat of a plurality of seats on-board the passenger vehicle. The passenger unit also includes a controller configured to obtain a seat location code of the particular seat from the mounting unit, and to cause the seat location code and the passenger unit identifier to be transmitted, via the network interface, to a server on-board the passenger vehicle. The server is configured to map the passenger unit to the particular seat using the seat location code and the passenger unit identifier.
RADIO FREQUENCY SIGNAL EMISSION INDUCED DISPLAY ARTIFACT MITIGATION SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Display artifacts, such as muras, may be perceptible on an electronic display when an electronic device includes a radio frequency transceiver that outputs electromagnetic waves during an emission period and a display panel that writes to display pixels during a refresh period. The electronic device may also include a controller that is coupled to the radio frequency transceiver and the display panel and facilitates the reduction and/or elimination of overlap between the emission periods and the refresh periods to decrease the appearance of display artifacts. In particular, the controller may execute instructions to determine the duration of the emission period and determine the duration of the blanking period that occurs between the refresh periods. Further, based on the determined blanking period and emission period durations, the controller may instruct the radio frequency transceiver to adjust the timing of the first emission period, instruct the display panel to adjust the timing of the refresh rate, or both to reduce overlap.
Integration device
The invention relates to an integration device for integrating a mobile terminal device into a vehicle, which integration device comprises an electronic unit and a storage unit, the electronic unit comprising an inductive charging unit, by means of which the mobile terminal device can be charged, and the storage unit comprising a storage mat, on which the mobile terminal device can be placed.

Parking lock apparatus, parking lock system and method for controlling the same
A parking lock apparatus, a parking lock system and a method for controlling the same are provided. The method includes: identifying identity information of a to-be-parked vehicle, sending an unlocking command to a parking lock according to the identified identity information and enabling the parking lock to be unlocked according to the unlocking command.
Radio frequency setting system and mobile terminal
A radio frequency (RF) setting system includes an RF recognition reader configured to recognize an external near field communication (NFC) reader, an RF update controller configured to acquire a default setting value from among a plurality of setting values stored in a memory in response to the recognition of the external NFC reader, and an RF setting value specification module configured to set the default setting value as an RF setting value. When a connection for NFC is not established to the external NFC reader within a predetermined amount of time, the RF recognition reader is further configured to recognize that the connection for NFC fails, and the RF update controller is further configured to sequentially update the RF setting value with each of the plurality of setting values excluding the default setting value until the connection for NFC is successfully established to the external NFC reader.
