Channel quality measurement method in multiple antenna wireless communication system and device for same
The present invention relates to a method and device for measuring channel quality by a base station having a two-dimensional active antenna system including multiple antennas. Particularly, the method comprises: receiving channel state information (CSI) generated on the basis of a first reference signal relating to a part of multiple antennas, from a terminal; selecting a precoding and a rank based on a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) and a rank indicator (RI) of the received CSI; generating a port by applying the selected precoding and the selected rank; through the generated port, transmitting, to the terminal, a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) and a demodulation-reference signal (DM-RS) configured for the terminal; and receiving, from the terminal, a channel quality indication (CQI) feedback for reducing a mismatch for the CQI of the CSI, wherein the CQI feedback may be generated based on the DM-RS.
System and method for compensating the effects of doppler
An illustrative embodiment disclosed herein is a method including estimating, by an endpoint, a first rate of change of a Doppler frequency offset during a downlink reception from a satellite associated with the Doppler frequency offset and applying, by the endpoint, a second rate of change of the Doppler frequency offset to an uplink transmission to the satellite. The second rate of change of the Doppler frequency offset compensates the first rate of change of the Doppler frequency offset.

Method and apparatus for handling communications between spacecraft operating in an orbital environment and terrestrial telecommunications devices that use terrestrial base station communications
A multiple-access transceiver handles communications with mobile stations in environments that exceed mobile station design assumptions without necessarily requiring modifications to the mobile stations. One such environment is in Earth orbit. The multiple-access transceiver is adapted to close communications with mobile stations while exceeding mobile station design assumptions, such as greater distance, greater relative motion and/or other conditions commonly found where functionality of a terrestrial transceiver is to be performed by an orbital transceiver. The orbital transceiver might include a data parser that parses a frame data structure, a signal timing module that adjusts timing based on orbit to terrestrial propagation delays, frequency shifters and a programmable radio capable of communicating from the Earth orbit that uses a multiple-access protocol such that the communication is compatible with, or appears to the terrestrial mobile station to be, communication between a terrestrial cellular base station and the terrestrial mobile station.

TRANSMISSION APPARATUS AND TRANSMISSION METHOD USING A PLURALITY OF DIVIDED FREQUENCY BANDS IN A COMMUNICATION BAND
A radio communication apparatus capable of alleviating a burden in setting a transmission format and suppressing increases in the scale of the apparatus. In this apparatus, space multiplexing adaptability detection section detects space multiplexing transmission adaptability for divided bands obtained by dividing a communication band to which Ns subcarrier signals belong in multicarrier transmission and to which a plurality of subcarrier signals belong, and outputs the detection results. Transmission format setting section sets a transmission format when carrying out radio transmission based on the detection results from space multiplexing adaptability detection section.
