Noise cancellation for a magnetically coupled communication link utilizing a lead frame
An integrated circuit package includes an encapsulation and a lead frame with a portion of the lead frame disposed within the encapsulation. The lead frame includes first and second conductive loops. A first voltage is induced between first and second ends of the first conductive loop in response to an external magnetic field that passes through the integrated circuit package. A second voltage is induced between third and fourth ends of the second conductive loop of the lead frame in response to the external magnetic field that passes through the integrated circuit package. The first conductive loop is coupled to the second conductive loop such that the first voltage between the first and second ends combined with the second voltage between the third and fourth ends substantially cancel.
Apparatus, system, and method for reducing electromagnetic interference in redundant power systems
An apparatus for reducing electromagnetic interference in redundant power systems may include an inductor capable of being electrically coupled between first and second power sources and an electrical load. The apparatus may also include a first return-current path that electrically couples a return terminal of the electrical load to a return terminal of the first power source. The first return-current path may include a winding wound around a core of the inductor. The apparatus may further include a second return-current path that electrically couples the return terminal of the electrical load to a return terminal of the second power source. The second return-current path may include a winding wound around the core of the inductor. Various other apparatuses, systems, and methods are also disclosed.
Protective device for LC filter
A protective device protects an LC filter in a vehicle. The vehicle includes a first vehicle-mounted electric device and a second vehicle-mounted electric device. The first vehicle-mounted electric device includes a first power converter. The second vehicle-mounted electric device includes a second power converter and shares a power supply with the first vehicle-mounted electric device. The LC filter is arranged between the first power converter and the power supply. The LC filter is configured such that the resonance frequency band of the LC filter can be changed. The resonance frequency band of the LC filter is changed based on a ripple amount in a current flowing in the LC filter.
Hot carrier injection compensation
Methods and devices are described for compensating an effect of aging due to, for example, hot carrier injection, or other device degradation mechanisms affecting a current flow, in an RF amplifier. In one case a replica circuit is used to sense the aging of the RF amplifier and adjust a biasing of the RF amplifier accordingly.
Power supply rejection rate through noise cancellation in an audio amplifier loop
Embodiments contained in the disclosure provide a method of cancelling power supply noise that affects the output of a class-D audio amplifier. The method begins when an alternating current (AC) coupled signal is input into an inverting amplifier. That signal is then amplified in the inverting amplifier. The amplified AC coupled signal is then feed through a resistor capacitor (RC) network, and from the RC network to an inverting input of the inverting amplifier. The output of a high pass filter is used to cancel the power supply ripple signal as the output of the high pass filter is injected into a supply voltage line. The cancelling signal is opposite in magnitude to the power supply ripple signal. The apparatus includes an inverting amplifier, a capacitor for coupling to an AC signal, and a resistor, in combination with the capacitor.
A PARAMETER TUNING APPROACH FOR BYPASS DAMPING FILTER TO SUPPRESS SUBSYNCHRONOUS RESONANCE IN POWER SYSTEMS
The present invention discloses a parameter tuning approach for bypass damping filter to suppress subsynchronous resonance in power systems, namely determining the parameters of capacitor, inductor and damping resistor in BDF. Using this approach, the parameters of capacitor and inductor in BDF can be adjusted, so that the frequency where the negative electrical damping of generator reaches minimum can be away from the frequency range of low frequency oscillation mode and typical frequencies of each torsional mode; the parameter of damping resistor in BDF can be further adjusted so that the minimum value of negative electrical damping is in reasonable range. The application of BDF with parameters tuned by the present invention contributes to the suppression of both the torsional interaction effect and the transient torque amplification effect.
REDUCTION OF UNMODULATED AMBIENT BLOCKERS IN REFLECTED DATA LINKS THROUGH MANIPULATION OR REPLICATION OF THE TRANSMITTING SIGNAL SOURCE
Communication between a wireless base-station and a microwave reflector link are enhanced by feeding back a portion of the transmitter signal, adjusted for phase and amplitude, to cancel ambient reflection blocker signals being received at the base-station. The microwave reflector link does not utilize a transmitter gain stage, but communicates data back to the base-station in response to modulating the reflections of its antenna (e.g., in gain and/or phase). The disclosure aids in the proper amplification and processing of reflection signals from the microwave reflector link, by canceling out the blocking signals which arise as background objects reflect transmitter signal energy back to the base-station.
Printed circuit board
A printed wiring board includes a power supply conductor pattern arranged on one conductor layer, one ground conductor pattern arranged on the one conductor layer, and another ground conductor pattern arranged on the another conductor layer so as to be opposed to the power supply conductor pattern. The power supply conductor pattern includes a power supply pad on which a terminal of a capacitor is to be bonded. The one ground conductor pattern includes a ground pad on which another terminal of the capacitor is to be bonded. A slit is formed in the another ground conductor pattern so as to pass through a projection portion defined by projecting the power supply pad onto the another ground conductor pattern and divide a projection portion defined by projecting the power supply conductor pattern onto the another ground conductor pattern.
