METHODS AND APPARATUS OF MEDIA DEVICE DETECTION FOR MINIMALLY INVASIVE MEDIA METERS
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture are disclosed for media crediting and, more particularly, methods and apparatus of media device detection for minimally invasive media meters. An example apparatus disclosed herein to detect media devices presenting media includes means for generating a cluster of media locations from a reference population of media locations based on media identifying information received from a presentation of media at an unidentified media device at a first media location, means for determining media devices available at the media locations in the cluster of media locations, means for identifying the unidentified media device based on (1) the media devices available at the media locations in the cluster of media locations and (2) an identity of a media device determined to be available in a majority of media locations in the cluster of media locations.
Systems and methods for controlling hospitality distribution networks
A system includes a host device to provide a content signal, an end device to receive the content signal, and a branch of amplifiers connected between the host device and the end device to carry the content signal from the host device to the end device. The host device may receive a first signal from the branch of amplifiers connected to the end device, and extract, from the first signal, first characteristics of the content signal measured at one or more points in the branch of amplifiers. The host device may compare the first characteristics of the content signal to second characteristics. The host device may determine, based on the comparison, adjustments for one or more settings of a first amplifier of the amplifiers, and send a second signal to the branch of amplifiers to communicate the adjustments for the one or more settings to the first amplifier.

TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORK CONFIGURATION FROM FEATURE-BASED EXTRAPOLATION
A processing system may obtain a feature set for segmenting households comprising subscribers of a telecommunication network into segments, the households including reporting households for which an information value regarding a feature of interest is available, and non-reporting households for which an information value regarding the feature of interest is not available. The processing system may then assign the households to segments, each segment associated with a set of information values for features of the feature set, and where for each segment, households assigned to the segment have information values that are the same for each of the features of the feature set. The processing system may also link each non-reporting household in a segment to a reporting household in the segment. The processing system may then reconfigure the telecommunication network in accordance with information values for the at least one feature of interest for the plurality of households.
METHODS AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE AUDIO SOURCE IMPACT ON AN AUDIENCE OF MEDIA
Methods, apparatus, systems and articles of manufacture to determine audio source impact on an audience of media are disclosed. A disclosed example method includes dividing monitored audio into successive audio segments including a first audio segment and a second audio segment. The example method also includes generating a first confidence value from the first audio segment and a second confidence value from the second audio segment, the first confidence value associated with a presence of a first audio source in the first audio segment, the second confidence value associated with a presence of the first audio source in the second audio segment. The example method includes identifying whether the monitored audio is associated with a presentation of first media based on the first confidence value and the second confidence value.
Methods and apparatus to correct misattributions of media impressions
Methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to correct misattributions of media impressions are disclosed. An example method includes obtaining first demographic-based impressions via a beacon transmitted in response to access to content by a first set of panelists, obtaining, from a database proprietor, second demographic-based impressions of the content on a second set of persons, forming a pseudo-inverse matrix determined based in part on the first impressions, and having a truncated value and a damped value to form third demographic-based impressions of the content on the second set of persons based on the second impressions, and computing at least partially corrected demographic-based impressions values by multiplying a vector of database proprietor impression data by the pseudo-inverse matrix.

Digital Broadcast Receiver And Digital Broadcast Receiver System
A digital broadcast receiver includes a first receiving module tunable to a foreground broadcast service to extract a program information, a first decoder module coupled to the first receiving module and decoding the program information, an output module switchably coupled to the first decoder module and adapted to output the program information, at least one second decoder module coupled to the first receiving module and tunable to a background broadcast service to decode a program information associated with the background broadcast service, and a control unit adapted to tune the first receiving module and the first decoder module to the foreground broadcast service and to tune each of the at least one second decoder modules to a background broadcast service. The control unit determines the foreground broadcast service based on a user input and determines the background broadcast services based on the foreground broadcast service and a predefined rule.

Radio station listening contour estimation
A method includes identifying, from radial contours indicating listening areas for respective radio stations, each radial contour specifying a geographic location of a respective radio station and a plurality of segments surrounding the radio station, each segment defining a radius outward from the geographic location defining a boundary of the listening area for the corresponding segment, a segment of a radial contour of a radio station currently tuned to by a radio receiver for a listener location; responsive to the listener location exceeding the radial extent from the radio station for the segment, identifying an alternate radio station available for the listener location; identifying, from the radial contours and the listener location, a segment of a radial contour of the alternate radio station; and responsive to the listener location being within a radial extent from the alternate radio station for the segment, transitioning to the alternate radio station.
