Some implementations of the disclosure are directed to a method, comprising: receiving a plurality of traffic flows transmitted by a plurality of user devices; determining, at a modem, a user device of the user devices that is associated with each of the traffic flows; classifying, at the modem, each of the traffic flows according to a class of service associated with a traffic class; and allocating, at the modem, bandwidth to each of the traffic flows based on the traffic flow's class of service and the user device associated with the traffic flow. A total available bandwidth may be allocated to the traffic flows as a function of traffic classes associated with the traffic flows, the classes of services associated with the traffic flows, and the user devices that transmitted the traffic flows.

The transmission device may transmit a plurality of code blocks corresponding to data. The transmission device may provide, to a reception device, puncturing information indicating whether the plurality of code blocks include a punctured code block. The reception device may reconstruct data from the received code blocks on the basis of the puncturing information.

Wireless communication method and wireless communication device for configuring broadband link

The present invention relates to a wireless communication method and a wireless communication terminal for wideband link setup, and more particularly, a wireless communication method and a wireless communication terminal for increasing data communication efficiency by extending a data transmission bandwidth of a terminal. To this end, provided are a wireless communication terminal, the terminal comprising: a transceiver configured to transmit and receive a wireless signal; and a processor configured to control an operation of the wireless communication terminal, wherein the processor is configured to: obtain basic primary channel information of a basic service set (BSS) with which the terminal is associated, obtain alternative primary channel information set for the terminal, wherein the alternative primary channel is set among at least one of secondary channels of the BSS, and perform communication using at least one of the basic primary channel and the alternative primary channel, and a wireless communication method using the same.

Relocating context information in header compression

A method of relocating the header compression context in a packet network which transmits packets having compressed headers. A connection is established between a mobile terminal and a first network entity and context information used with compression and decompression of the headers of the packets is stored at the mobile terminal and the first network entity. The context information updating is stopped in the mobile terminal and in the first network entity and after that, a snapshot of the compression and decompression context information is taken and stored in the first network entity. The connection between the first network entity and the mobile terminal is changed to a connection between the mobile terminal and a second network entity. The context information snapshot stored by the first network entity is transferred to the second network entity to be stored therein as the context information of the second network entity. The stored context information at the mobile terminal and the second network entity is then used for compression and decompression of the headers of the packets.

A method of generating a sequence of packets representing a stream of one or more media frames at an encoding system, the method comprising: in dependence on a measure of data loss over a network, determining a level of error correction data required in respect of a stream of media frames in order to substantially satisfy a recovery parameter expressing a target proportion of packets recoverable using error correction data; in dependence on the determined level of error correction data, identifying a target encoding bitrate so as to not exceed a target transmission bitrate over the network; encoding the stream of media frames so as to generate encoded data at the target encoding bitrate; and processing the encoded data and error correction data formed in respect of the stream of media frames so as to generate a sequence of packets at a rate commensurate with the target transmission bitrate.
