The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. A signal measurement method for a terminal is provided. The signal measurement method includes receiving a signal measurement indication for high-speed movement from a base station, and measuring a signal from a first cell using a measurement scheme designed for high-speed movement based on the signal measurement indication, wherein the first cell is a primary cell (PCell).
Ultra-wideband Communication System
An ultra-wideband communication and/or location system having a plurality of channels, each implementing a respective one of a plurality of predetermined codewords. Within each channel, one or more predetermined pulse repetition frequences are defined. Within a single UWB system, more than two networks of transceivers may be co-located without mutual interference if each is assigned a unique combination of codewords and spreading factors.
APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR ASSIGNING CELLS TO COORDINATION SETS FOR OPTIMIZING COORDINATION PERFORMANCE
An apparatus and method to perform assignment of a cell associated with a remote radio unit (RRU) to a coordination set (C-Set) associated with at least one BBU to optimize the overall performance of a network. The method, as implemented, is based on a greedy algorithm and uses (1) score variables, (2) cell_score function, and variations thereof and (3) the evaluation scores, and variations thereof to determine C-Set assignments for an overall improvement of network performance.
LAA-LTE communication in an unlicensed spectrum
A method includes transmitting, at an access point configured to transmit data over an unlicensed band, a single message prior to transmitting data over a channel of the unlicensed band. The method further includes receiving, at the access point, a plurality of responses from a plurality of user equipment acknowledging the single message in response to the single message.
Method for eliminating inter-cell interference in non-licensed band in wireless communication system and apparatus therefor
The present application discloses a method for reporting, by a terminal, channel state information in a non-licensed band in a wireless communication system. More specifically, the method comprises: establishing, through a higher layer, a plurality of reserved resource sections of a serving cell for channel state information measurement in the non-licensed band; and measuring/reporting, in each of the plurality of reserved resource sections, the channel state information of the non-licensed band on the basis of the result of sensing the carrier waves of an adjacent cell and whether a reserved resource section of the adjacent cell is established, wherein the reserved resource section of the serving cell is determined based on a type of the reserved resource section of the serving cell measuring the channel state information.
Channel estimation for interference cancellation
A method of a wireless communication device for a cellular communication system is disclosed. According to the method, a signal comprising a first known signal sequence and a second known signal sequence for each of one or more first cells of the cellular communication system is received, and the first and second known signal sequences of each of the one or more first cells are detected based on the received signal. For at least one of the one or more first cells, one of the first known signal sequence, the second known signal sequence, and a combination of the first and second known signal sequences is selected for channel estimation. The selection is based on the detected first and second known signal sequences of the one or more cells. Channel estimation of the at least one of the one or more first cells is performed based on the signal sequence selection. In some examples, the method may further comprise performing interference cancellation of at least one of the first and second known signal sequences of the at least one of the one or more first cells based on the channel estimation and detecting one or more second cells of the cellular communication system after the interference cancellation. Corresponding computer program product, arrangement and wireless communication device are also disclosed.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR HANDLING ZERO POWER CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION REFERENCE SIGNAL CONFIGURATIONS FOR DISCOVERY SIGNALS IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method and apparatus for receiving a zero-power channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) configuration in a wireless communication system is provided. A user equipment (UE) receives at least one first zero-power CSI-RS configuration for data rate matching on a discovery reference signal (DRS) from a network, and receives a second zero-power CSI-RS configuration for interference measurement from the network. The at least one first zero-power CSI-RS configuration is not used for the second zero-power CSI-RS configuration.
Small cell initial access and physical cell identity determination
A method, system, and computer program product that provides a two-index system for clusters of small cells in a wireless network. A first index is employed for access to and identification of a serving cell within a cluster of small cells. A second index indicates a group of small cells for determining mobility control. The first index may be derived from primary/secondary synchronization signals, or from frequency/time division multiplex signal position. The second index may be indicated in system/master information block signals or predefined as a plurality of small cells identified by the first index for each cell. Determination of physical cell identification is aided by providing a plurality of primary/secondary synchronization (PSS/SSS) signal alternating configurations with indicator, wherein a maximum number of configurations is predefined. Signaling the PSS/SSS configurations by one of broadcast or dedicated signaling, said signaling indicating whether each configuration is one of periodic or aperiodic alternation.
