SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SIMPLIFIED ACTIVITY BASED SETUP OF A CONTROLLING DEVICE
A controlling device having an activity mode corresponding to a controllable activity in which activation of a command key within a logical group of command keys of the controlling device causes a transmission of command data to control one or more functional operations of an intended target appliance. For a controllable activity the controlling device has a memory in which is stored a plurality of predetermined appliance to logical group of command keys mappings. To configure the controlling device for the controllable activity one or more predetermined keys of the controlling device are activated to thereby designate one or more intended target appliances for the controllable activity. When the controlling device is then placed into the activity mode corresponding to the controllable activity, the controlling device will use the configuration to select one of the plurality of predetermined appliance to logical group of command keys mappings to determine which appliance command data to transmit in response to an activation of a command key within a logical group of command keys.
Household appliances infrared remote waveform replication learning method and system
The present disclosure provides a method for replication and learning of a waveform for infrared (IR) remote control of a household appliance. The method includes: sampling a data code in a household appliance infrared remote waveform by a direct sampling method, so as to obtain sampled data; performing feature extraction on the sampled data to obtain a feature value; reversing the level whose length is shorter than the minimum feature value and is within a preset range; adding the reversed level length with the adjacent levels length to perform deburring in the household appliance infrared remote waveform, wherein adjacent levels refer to the levels previous and after the reversed level, and the minimum feature value is feature value of the minimum level length.
Illuminated keyboard
A light guide is provided for illuminating innumerable constructions, but which is ideally suited for illuminating the keys of a keyboard. The light guide includes a translucent planar plate having a top, a bottom and sides. Further, the light guide includes one or more cavities which project upwardly into the translucent plate from its bottom surface. The cavities are hollow or filled with a translucent material so that the translucent plate and the one or more cavities form translucent interfaces where the cavities interface with the plate. The light guide also includes a reflector which covers the plate bottom and cavity openings. Light produced by a light source, preferably in the form of one or more LEDs, is transmitted to and through the translucent plate until striking the plate-cavity interfaces where the light is refracted into the cavities' interior or reflected upwardly to the plate's upper surface.

A remote controller of an image processing apparatus includes: a touch screen which displays an input menu; a menu processor which processes the touch screen to display respective input menus corresponding to at least two modes among a control mode of the image processing apparatus, a character input mode and a handwriting mode; and a controller which controls the menu processor to display the input menu of the mode corresponding to a selection signal when the selection signal for the mode is received.

A wearable remote control worn on a finger of a user is provided. The wearable remote control is for use with a medical equipment component. The wearable remote control has a housing, a switch located on the housing, the switch configured to provide a control signal to a control module, and an interface connector attached to the housing and the switch. The interface convector connects the wearable remote control to the control module. The housing of the wearable remote control may include a collar worn around the finger.
