Baseband data reduction and compression algorithm
A system and method for recovering encoded data from a modulated baseband signal is disclosed. Aspects and embodiments of the system and method include receiving an analog input signal representing a modulated baseband signal, counting clock cycles of a reference clock, detecting a first transition and a second transition of the analog input signal indicating a first change and a second change in the modulated baseband signal, storing a first counter value corresponding to an amount of clock cycles elapsed between the first transition and the second transition, and determining a binary-valued bit sequence corresponding to the first counter value.
Antenna Assembly For A Vehicle
An antenna assembly comprising a base, a modem, a top lid and a housing is disclosed herein. The base is composed of an aluminum material. The modem is disposed on the base. The top lid is for the base, and the top lid comprises at least one antenna element disposed on an exterior surface. The housing covers the top lid and base. The top lid acts as an electro-magnetic barrier for the modem. A communication cable is connected to the modem at one end and extending to and connected to a vehicle internal router with a vehicle modem at the other end.
Low IF architectures for noncontact vital sign detection
Various examples of methods and systems are provided for vibrational frequency detection (e.g., noncontact vital sign detection) using digitally assisted low intermediate frequency (IF) architectures. In one example, a transceiver system is configured to transmit a modulated signal generated by modulating a local oscillator (LO) signal with an IF carrier; generate an IF signal by down converting a received signal comprising backscatter with the LO signal; and simultaneously sample the IF carrier and the IF signal. A vibration frequency can be determined by demodulating the sampled IF signal with the sampled IF carrier. In another example, a method includes generating and transmitting a modulated signal; receiving backscatter of the modulated signal; generating an IF signal by down converting the received signal with the LO signal; simultaneously sampling the IF carrier and the IF signal; and determining a vibration frequency by demodulating the sampled IF signal with the sampled IF carrier.
Front-end system for a radio device
The present disclosure relates to a front-end system for a radio device comprising: a charge generator circuit arranged for receiving a digital baseband signal, a first converter circuit arranged for calculating at least one charge value based on the digital baseband signal, a second converter circuit arranged for converting the at least one charge value into at least one electrical charge, and a modulator circuit arranged for generating a radio frequency signal based on the at least one electrical charge and at least one local oscillator signal.
Method of fine grained wake-up modes for Wi-Fi/BT utilizing wake-up receiver
Mobile platform power management is an important problem especially for battery-powered small form factor platforms such as smartphones, tablets, wearable devices, Internet of Things (IOT) devices, and the like. One exemplary technique disclosed herein defines a method for a fine-grained wake-up mode for Wi-Fi/BT/BLE that utilizes a low-power wake-up radio. For example, the actual data contained in the wake-up packet can be forwarded directly to a memory block of the device without waking-up the Wi-Fi/BT/BLE radio. As another example, if an IEEE 802.11 MAC frame is contained in the wake-up packet, then just the MAC processor of the Wi-Fi/BT/BLE radio can be woken up to process the IEEE 802.11 MAC frame contained in the wake-up packet, and have the PHY module of the Wi-Fi/BT/BLE radio kept powered off or in a low power mode to, for example, save energy.
