For NF configuration, the NF is configured and notification provided thereof. For network instantiation, after reception of a network creation request, interaction with the system to instantiate a NS that realizes the network is followed by determination that a new VNF associated with the NS has been instantiated, creation of a NF (constituting the network) MOI is realized by the new VNF, and NF configuration. For NSSI creation, a NF constituting the NSSI is created and configured.

Methods and systems are disclosed for communicating in a wireless communications system utilizing a plurality of frequency bands for downlink (DL) transmission and a plurality of frequency bands for uplink (UL) transmission. In an embodiment, a mobile device receives a DL signal via a DL frequency band. The DL signal contains DL-UL frequency-band association information. The DL signal is decoded to obtain the DL-UL frequency-band association information which is used to determine a UL frequency band for UL transmission. The mobile device configures its radio-frequency (RF) circuitry to operate in the UL frequency band for UL transmission.

Object-oriented network virtualization may involve creating and operating virtual network objects (VNO) using a software-programmed networking operating system (SPN OS). A VNO may be a complete representation of a virtual network service provided under the SPN OS. A VNO may have a unique identity and properties, along with an internal set of methods for executing functionality encapsulated by the VNO. A VNO may exhibit persistence and autonomous control to enable improved virtual network services.

Host side method of using a controller assignment list

Some embodiments provide a novel method for distributing control-channel communication load between multiple controllers in a network control system. In some embodiments, the controllers manage physical forwarding elements that forward data between several computing devices (also called hosts or host computers), some or all of which execute one or more virtual machines (VMs). The method of some embodiments distributes a controller assignment list to the host computers. The host computers use this list to identify the controllers with which they need to interact to perform some of the forwarding operations of their associated logical forwarding elements. In some embodiments, agents executing on the host computers (1) review the controller assignment list to identify the appropriate controllers, and (2) establish control channel communications with these controllers to obtain the needed data for effectuating the forwarding operations of their associated physical forwarding elements. These agents in some embodiments are responsible for out-of-band control channel communication with the controllers.

The system includes an optical line terminal, a cloud server and an optical network terminal, wherein, the optical line terminal includes a part of management entities supported by the OMCI protocol, the part of management entities is associated with device information of the optical line terminal, the cloud server supports virtual OMCI, and the cloud server includes another part of management entities supported by the OMCI protocol. According to the scheme of the disclosure, by retaining a part of MEs supported by the OMCI protocol which is associated with the device information of OLT in OLT, and deploying another part of MEs supported by the OMCI protocol in the cloud server, it can reduce or avoid the dependency of the vOMCI on the OLT device while the vOMCI is realized to reduce the complexity of the OLT device and improve the flexibility of deploying the OMCI protocol stack of different service providers.
