A method and apparatus for managing remote devices. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided a method of managing a remote device, comprising: obtaining a first identifier based on a name sequence in state information of the remote device, the first identifier being for indicating a template that provides the state information; obtaining a second identifier based on a numerical value sequence in the state information; sending a state access notification that comprises at least the first identifier and the second identifier; and providing the state information based on the first identifier and the second identifier in response to having received a result of activating the state access notification. In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for managing a remote device.

The aggregated end-to-end connection profile is corresponding to an aggregated end-to-end connection comprising a plurality of end-to-end connections. In one embodiment, identities of all WAN interfaces corresponding to the aggregated end-to-end connection are displayed. Alternatively, identities of a plurality of WAN interfaces corresponding to the aggregated end-to-end connection are displayed, where the plurality of WAN interfaces are selected according to a policy or a user's selection. Furthermore, a message may be displayed for helping the user to select end-to-end connections for transmitting and receiving data packets based on the network performance information.

Learning robust and accurate rules for device classification from clusters of devices

In various embodiments, a device classification service obtains traffic telemetry data for a plurality of devices in a network. The service applies clustering to the traffic telemetry data, to form device clusters. The service generates a device classification rule based on a particular one of the device clusters. The service receives feedback from a user interface regarding the device classification rule. The service adjusts the device classification rule based on the received feedback.

An image of a device that is part of a telecommunications system is obtained and transmitted to a first remote device. Data indicative of device-specific information for the device is received from the first remote device in response to transmitting the image, wherein the device-specific information comprises information associated with the telecommunications system. The device-specific information is displayed for the purpose selected from the group consisting of performing a management function associated with the device and monitoring a performance parameter associated with the device. Data indicative of a selection of the management function is received and transmitted to a second remote device.
