Techniques of sending alerts from storage services running on server san target
A computer system includes a first baseboard management controller (BMC) and a first host of the first BMC. The first host operates a first storage service at the first host. The first host is a first storage device connected to one or more storage drives. The first storage service managing a first Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) controller for accessing user data stored on the one or more storage drives through a storage network. The first BMC receives state information of the one or more storage drives. The first BMC sends notifications to a client of the first BMC, in response to receiving the state information.
Methods and systems for adaptive content delivery
Devices, systems and methods are provided for delivering media content from different types of content sources to different destination devices across an outdoor/indoor interface using an outdoor hub device. An exemplary hub device includes a first input interface to receive a broadcast signal, a second input interface to receive a telecommunications signal from a telecommunications network, and an output interface. The device further includes a content stream management module coupled to the first input interface and the second input interface to multiplex broadcast and telecommunications content into a multiplexed content stream, an encapsulation module coupled to the content stream management module to encapsulate the multiplexed content stream into a packetized multiplexed content stream, and a communications interface coupled to the encapsulation module and the output interface to transmit the packetized multiplexed content stream to an indoor gateway device via the output interface.
Method and apparatus for managing field device based on cloud server
The present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for managing a field device based on a cloud server. The method includes: obtaining, by a client, a list of devices from the cloud server, and selecting a target device to be managed from the list of devices; generating, by the client, a corresponding virtual device driver according to device information of the target device and configuring a driver parameter of the virtual device driver, and sending the driver parameter to an access server via the cloud server to trigger the access server to configure an interface of the target device according to the driver parameter; and determining, by the client, to establish a communication channel between the client and the target device upon reception of a configuration success message returned from the access server, and managing the target device according to the communication channel.
Enablement of software defined storage solution for NVME over ethernet fabric management on a processor
A computer system includes a BMC and a host of the BMC. The BMC receives a first message from a first remote device on a management network. The BMC determines whether the first message is directed to a storage service or fabric service executed on a central processing unit of the host. The host is a storage device. The central processing unit is in commutation with a RDMA controller through an external communication channel. The RDMA controller being managed by the storage service. The BMC extracts a service management command from the first message, when the first message is directed to the storage service or fabric service. The BMC sends, through a BMC communication channel to the host, a second message containing the service management command to the host. The BMC communication channel has been established for communicating baseboard management commands between the BMC and the host.
Device abstraction proxy
Described are systems and methods for implementing and operating a Device Abstraction Proxy (DAP). In one embodiment, the DAP includes a communications interface to connect the DAP to one or more access aggregation devices, each having a plurality of physical ports to provide Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) communication services to a plurality of remote DSL terminals via the plurality of physical ports. The DAP may further include a memory and processor to execute a virtual access aggregation device, in which a subset of the plurality of physical ports are allocated and linked to corresponding logical ports. The DAP may further include a global rule-set module to define operational constraints for the DSL communication services, and a management interface to allow at least one broadband access management system to manage the subset of physical ports allocated to the virtual access aggregation device subject to the operational constraints.
Secured and out-of-band (OOB) server san solution on a commodity storage box
A computer system includes a BMC and a host of the BMC. The BMC receives a first message from a first remote device on an existing out-of-band management network. The BMC determines whether the first message is directed to a storage service or fabric service running on the host, the host being a storage device. The storage service provides access to user data stored on one or more storage devices connected to the host via a storage network that is isolated from the management network. When the first message is directed to the storage service or fabric service: the BMC extracts a service command from the first message; the BMC sends, through a BMC communication channel to the host, a second message containing the service command to the host. The BMC communication channel has been established for communicating baseboard management commands between the BMC and the host.
Method and system for using a downloadable agent for a communication system, device, or link
Described is a method performed by a downloadable agent, the method comprising: collecting WAN performance information, wherein the downloadable agent is executable on a computing device coupled to a LAN of a broadband subscriber, wherein the LAN is coupled by another device to a WAN; and transmitting the WAN performance information to a machine; wherein the machine is operable to: store and analyze the performance information to generate an analysis result; and report the analysis result to at least one of the broadband subscriber and its service provider. Described is a corresponding system which comprises a database; and a server coupled to the database, the server operable to: receive WAN performance information from a downloadable agent; store the information in the database, analyze the information to generate an analysis result; and report the analysis result to at least one of the broadband subscriber and the broadband subscriber's service provider.
Assignment and/or installation of cable modem devices to be used with a hybrid fiber coaxial network part of a broadband access network
A method includes: providing cable modem identification information of a specific cable modem device and infrastructure identification information of a specific coaxial infrastructure access point is provided to an operations support system of a telecommunications network; transmitting the cable modem identification information, the infrastructure identification information, and line identification information to an access orchestrator entity of the telecommunications network; and performing or triggering attachment to the broadband access network using the specific coaxial infrastructure access point and a specific hybrid fiber coaxial network equipment.
