A method is provided that includes accessing, by a server provider server of a service provider, a database storing associations between network addresses and locations. Additionally, the method includes determining a subset of the database corresponding to a first network address, each association included in the subset corresponding to an association between the first network address and a respective location. The method also includes in response to determining that the subset of the database satisfies one or more clustering criteria, calculating a representative location corresponding to the first network address, and storing an association between the first network address and the representative location in a second database.

Various example implementations are directed to circuits, apparatuses, and methods for providing virtual computing services. The set of computer servers are configured to provide a respective virtual data center for each of a plurality of accounts. The respective virtual data center for each account is configured to provide virtual services specified in a respective settings file for the account stored in the data storage device. The virtual data center for at least one of the accounts includes a set of virtual desktops and a set virtual data-communications servers providing data communications services which may include Voice-over-IP (VoIP) services, and support services for each account as specified in the settings file for the account.

Symmetric storage using a cloud-based storage system, including: receiving, at a cloud-based storage system among storage systems synchronously replicating a dataset, an I/O operation directed to the dataset; determining, in dependence upon the I/O operation, a metadata update describing a mapping of segments of content to an address within a storage object, wherein the storage object includes the dataset; and synchronizing metadata on another storage system of the storage systems by sending the metadata update from the cloud-based storage system to the other storage system to update a metadata representation on the second storage system in accordance with the metadata update.

In an example method, a communications platform generates a plurality of logical structures. The communication platform receives, from a first user, first content to be shared within a first logical structure of the plurality of logical structures. The communications platform determines one or more second users associated with the first logical structure, and transmits contents of the first logical structure including the first content to the one or more second users.
