Streaming policy management system and method
A streaming policy management system and method wherein bandwidth may be allocated based on external device information received from a streaming client device connected to one or more external audio/video (A/V) devices. When a streaming network back office receives a request from the streaming client device for delivery of a particular content, wherein the request includes external device information of one or more external A/V devices connected to the streaming client device, a bandwidth is determined for streaming the particular content to the streaming client device and a request may be made to a content delivery network to create a distribution pipe having the bandwidth to accommodate the delivery of the particular content. A manifest file is provided to the streaming client device that includes one or more pointers that point to content segments of the particular content.
Robust protocol detection for near field communication devices operating in card-emulation mode
A contactless communication device includes a near field communication (NFC) module for generating an electromagnetic carrier signal and modulating the carrier signal according to data to be transmitted, and an antenna circuit coupled to and driven by said NFC module with the modulated carrier signal. The device includes an RF front end coupled between said NFC module and said antenna circuit and further includes a protocol detection circuit for detecting a protocol mode in response to an incoming signal received by the device. The protocol detection circuit includes a plurality of filters being adapted to generate an envelope of the incoming signal; a plurality of decoders being adapted to generate an output in response to a respective envelope generated by a corresponding one of the plurality of filters; and a decision unit being adapted to detect a protocol mode based on the output from each of the plurality of decoders.
Controlling service discovery and activation among peers
Systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media are provided for publishing, discovering, connecting with and activating services in a peer-to-peer environment. Services available in association with a first computing device are determined and encoded with instructions for accessing and understanding such services via their respective activation protocols. The encoded services are published via a publication protocol such that they are discoverable by at least a second computing device, irrespective of whether such services may be activated via the publication protocol. The second computing device discovers the available services via the publication protocol and accesses and understands the instructions associated with a desired service. Upon receipt of a request from the second computing device, via the activation protocol, to activate the requested service, the requested service is activated by the first computing device.
TRANSMITTING DATA OVER A NETWORK IN REPRESENTATIONAL STATE TRANSFER (REST) APPLICATIONS
Techniques for transmitting data over a network in a representational state transfer (REST) application are provided. A request for data from a client computing device in a representational state transfer (REST) application is received and a wire protocol is selected based on user input from a plurality of wire protocols that will be used to transmit one or more objects to be returned by the request. The selected wire protocol is indicated to the client computing device and the one or more objects are transmitted to the client computing device using the determined wire protocol.
Test system and method for triggering or searching in input data decoded with a user defined protocol
A test system for triggering or searching in input data decoded with a user defined protocol is provided. The test system comprises a processor and a display. The processor is configured to control the display to display a graphical user interface (GUI), and to receive input data. The GUI is configured to provide an input structure for a user to define protocol layer frames for decoding the input data. Based on the defined protocol layer frames, the processor is configured to generate a set of trigger or search options, and to control the display to display the set of trigger or search options.
Network policy generation for continuous deployment
In an example, a method comprises obtaining, by a policy controller from a first SDN architecture system, flow metadata for packet flows exchanged among workloads of a distributed application deployed to the first SDN architecture system; identifying, using flow metadata for a packet flow of the packet flows, a source endpoint workload and a destination endpoint workload of the packet flow; generating a network policy rule to allow packet flows from the source endpoint workload to the destination endpoint workload of the packet flow; and adding the network policy rule to a configuration repository as configuration data for a second SDN architecture system to cause a deployment system to configure the second SDN architecture system with the network policy rule to allow packet flows from the source endpoint workload to the destination endpoint workload when the distributed application is deployed to the second SDN architecture system.
API mediation for online services
An API mediation system can allow an original service designed to interact with client systems over a first API to interact with other client systems over a second API without significant modifications to the original service. The API mediation system can automatically generate a mediation layer designed to translate communications to and from the original service between the first and second APIs. Similarly, the API mediation system can implement a mapping between functions of the original service through the first API and equivalent functions over the second API, including mapping security operations or other security methods between the first and second APIs. To generate the mapping layer, the API mediation system can generate a model of the original service outlining the underlying functionality of the original service.
Method and apparatus for controlling data transmission using interworking interface between NR and LTE base station
Provided are technologies for data transmission and reception using an interworking interface between heterogeneous radio access network base stations, such as between NR and LTE, for a 5G non-standalone (NSA) network. A base station for controlling downlink data transmission may include a controller configured to setting up an X2 interface for transmitting the downlink data to a UE by interworking with another base station, a transmitter configured to transmit downlink use data information including information indicating whether to perform retransmission of an associated downlink data packet to another base station through the X2 interface, and a receiver configured to receive downlink data transfer status information from another base station through the X2 interface.
SIGNAL TRANSMISSION METHOD FOR LIGHTWEIGHT REMOTE CONTROL COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL
A signal transmission method for lightweight remote control communication protocol is provided. According to the method, a signal-controlled-end transceiver executes a communication transmission process according to a communication protocol to receive a communication signal. The communication transmission process includes determining whether the payload column of the communication signal is encrypted and determining whether the communication signal is a single-direction or a dual-direction communication signal. Besides, the communication signal further includes a control data and an information data. In this way, when a controlled device receives the communication signal, the control element of the controlled device controls the controlled device according to the control data and the information data. The method can identify signal-direction signals or dual-direction signals, encrypted signals or non-encrypted signals, and transmit the control data and the information data to the controlled device on a lightweight data basis, and so can achieve accurate control and other technical effects.
