Multi-role group inheritance for interacting computer systems
In some embodiments, a method receives a first interaction group that includes a plurality of roles. The plurality of roles comprise a first plurality of interaction modules that each define an activity. The method receives a second interaction group that includes a second plurality of interaction modules. The second interaction group identifies the first interaction group, and interaction modules in the second plurality of modules identify a role in the plurality of roles of the first interaction group. Then, an activity of the second plurality of interaction modules is generated for the second interaction group by retrieving the activity of an interaction module in the first plurality of interaction modules identified by a respective role for the interaction module in the second plurality of interaction modules.
Network Node and Method in a Wireless Communications Network
A method performed by a network node for transmission of a Packet Data Convergence Protocol, PDCP, Protocol Data Unit, PDU, to a wireless communications device is provided. The network node and the wireless communications device operate in a wireless communications network. The network node arranges (505) a number of PDCP PDUs in a numerical order based on their respective PDCP Sequence Number, SN. The number of PDCP PDUs is taken from a first set of PDCP PDUs comprising one or more first time transmitted PDCP PDUs and from a second set of PDCP PDUs comprising one or more retransmitted PDCP PDUs. The one or more first time transmitted PDCP PDUs and the one or more retransmitted PDCP PDUs are received from a controlling node. The network node transmits (506) the number of the PDCP PDUs in the numerical order to the wireless communications device 120.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR POLICY CONTROL FUNCTION DISCOVERY SERVICE
A method, a system, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which an discovery service is provided. The discovery service may provide a network device to request for binding information from a binding service function. The request may include information that indicates a type of policy control function. For example, the information may indicate a session management policy control function, an access management policy control function, or another dedicated type of policy control function.
Systems and methods for electronic communication with a device using an unknown communications protocol
Various technologies for communicating with systems that communicate using an unknown communications protocol are described herein. A transceiver intercepts a plurality of communications exchanged between two or more transceivers on a communications network. Pattern-recognition algorithms are executed over the plurality of communications, and features of an unknown communications protocol that governs the communications between the two or more transceivers are inferred based upon output of the pattern-recognition algorithms. A communication is formatted based upon the inferred features of the unknown communications protocol, and the communication transmitted to one or more systems on the communications network by way of the transceiver. The communication at least partially conforms to the unknown communications protocol, and so may be interpreted by systems on the network.
Method and device for encapsulating and de-encapsulating general data stream
According to a method for encapsulating or decapsulating a general data stream, one or more data sections are obtained by encapsulating data of a transport object based on a format of the general data stream. The data section includes a data section head and a data section payload. The data section head includes a basic section head and an extension section head or includes the basic section head only. The basic section head includes a transport object identity, a data section length, a data section payload encapsulation mode and an extension section head flag. The encapsulation mode uses a variable-length packet encapsulation mode, a fixed-length packet encapsulation mode or a stream encapsulation mode. The flag indicates whether there is the extension section head and the extension section head includes at least one extended parameter. The one or more data sections are concatenated to obtain and transmit the general data stream.
RELIABLE COMMUNICATIONS USING A POINT TO POINT PROTOCOL
This disclosure describes techniques for performing communications between devices using various aspects of Ethernet standards. As further described herein, a protocol is disclosed that may be used for communications between devices, where the communications take place over a physical connection complying with Ethernet standards. Such a protocol may enable reliable and in-order delivery of frames between devices, while following Ethernet physical layer rules, Ethernet symbol encoding, Ethernet lane alignment, and/or Ethernet frame formats.
Communications device and method of communications
Embodiments of a device and method are disclosed. In an embodiment, a method of communications involves generating a packet for communications in a wired communications network, where the packet includes a header and a payload, and where the header includes packet type information that indicates a network connection within the wired communications network in which the packet is used, and transmitting the packet through the network connection.
EVENT ANALYTICS IN MODULAR INDUSTRIAL PLANTS
Systems and methods for event analytics in a modular industrial plant are provided. A method includes: monitoring events in a module of the modular industrial plant during a predetermined time interval; generating a module fingerprint based on the monitored events occurring in the module during the predetermined time interval; and performing module-based event analytics based on the generated module fingerprint.
ANALYZING NETWORK DATA FOR DEBUGGING, PERFORMANCE, AND IDENTIFYING PROTOCOL VIOLATIONS USING PARALLEL MULTI-THREADED PROCESSING
A device may receive network protocol data identifying a network protocol trace associated with network devices of a network, and may divide the network protocol trace into multiple segments. The device may identify a set of segments, in the multiple segments, that includes a first segment and second segments related to the first segment, and may process the multiple segments, in parallel, to determine first results data corresponding to the multiple segments. The device may process the second segments, in parallel, to determine second results data, and may combine the first results data and the second results data to generate final results data, wherein the final results data indicate utilization by the network devices of a network protocol associated with the network. The device may perform one or more actions based on the final results data.
Network and Method for Servicing a Computation Request
A framework for joint computation, caching, and request forwarding in data-centric computing-based networks comprises a virtual control plane, which operates on request counters for computations and data, and an actual plane, which handles computation requests, data requests, data objects and computation results in the physical network. A throughput optimal policy, implemented in the virtual plane, provides a basis for adaptive and distributed computation, caching, and request forwarding in the actual plane. The framework provides superior performance in terms of request satisfaction delay as compared with several baseline policies over multiple network topologies.
