Method and apparatus for receiving data packets

A receiver receives a data packet with a header and a payload. The payload includes at least one full service data unit, one or two service data unit fragments, or at least one full service data unit and at least one service data unit fragment, where a service data unit fragment is only located (i) at the beginning of the payload or at the end of the payload or (ii) at the beginning of the payload and at the end of the payload. The header includes a single field consisting of a first bit and a second bit, even when a number of full service data units and service data unit fragments in the payload is more than two, the single field indicating whether (i) the payload begins with a fragment of a service data unit and (ii) the payload ends with a service data unit fragment. Digital signal processing circuitry processes the header to determine processing for the payload.

Universal protocol for power tools

A method for communicating between motorized power tools includes establishing, using a physical interface of a first power tool, a wireless radio link between the first power tool and a second power tool. The first power tool has a first motor and the second power tool has a second motor. A signal is received over the wireless radio link, via the physical interface, at the first power tool from the second power tool using a first wireless communication protocol. The signal includes an identifier. The second power tool is verified as authorized to send the signal to the first power tool based on the identifier. A tool component of the first power tool is controlled responsive to the signal.

SYSTEM FOR FORMALLY SUPERVISING COMMUNICATIONS

The present invention relates to a system for formally monitoring communications of a set of specific applications of a platform, comprising: an acquisition module (9) configured to acquire a formal model (13) of a data stream describing the behaviour of a group of participants modelling said set of specific applications, and a communication specification (15) describing software implementations implementing the applications modelled by said participants, said software implementations being configured to call up predetermined communication functions, and a monitoring module (11) configured to verify that a sequence for calling up said communication functions complies with the expected behaviour of said group of participants.

Transmitting data over a network in representational state transfer (REST) applications

Techniques for transmitting data over a network in a representational state transfer (REST) application are provided. A request for data from a client computing device in a representational state transfer (REST) application is received and a wire protocol is selected based on user input from a plurality of wire protocols that will be used to transmit one or more objects to be returned by the request. The selected wire protocol is indicated to the client computing device and the one or more objects are transmitted to the client computing device using the determined wire protocol.

Service-based tunnel selection scheme for mapping services to tunnels

Techniques are disclosed for service-based tunnel selection for forwarding network traffic. In one example, a network device obtains, based on service parameters associated with a network service, a service-specific tunnel selection scheme. The tunnel selection scheme identifies a primary mapping mode for mapping the network service to a primary transport tunnel and fallback mapping modes for mapping the network service to fallback transport tunnels. The primary mapping mode is categorized according to a first type comprising tunnel colorization, while the fallback mapping modes are categorized according to types other than tunnel colorization. In response to determining that the network service cannot be mapped to the primary transport tunnel according to the primary mapping mode, the network device, maps, based on the fallback mapping modes, the network service to the fallback transport tunnels. The network device forwards network traffic associated with the network service via the fallback transport tunnels.
