Statistic multiplexed computing system for network-scale reliable high-performance services
A system for network-scale parallel computing comprises a set of computer-readable instructions implementing the steps of executing a computational process from at least one client node by communicating via a content addressable service network implemented using the Tuple Space abstraction, data parallel semantics and Unidirectional Virtual Ring architecture, with any number of service computers, networks and storage to deliver lossless, non-stop services. A network-scale distributed storage system, an enhanced Domain Name System (DNS) system, a network-scale database system and a network-scale hybrid transactional analytical processing systems are also described.

File transmission method and system performing the same
Provided a is method for managing file transmission. A file transmission method includes receiving, by a file transmission system, a request for transmitting a file to a reception side from a transmission side, setting transmission paths for transmitting the file via data centers present between the transmission side and the reception side, determining a splitting reference used for splitting the file into a plurality of fragments for the respective transmission paths, and individually transmitting the file fragments split according to the splitting reference along the transmission paths. Since files are split into a plurality of fragments and the fragments are simultaneously transmitted to several networks in a distributed manner, security may be strengthened and a bandwidth may be temporarily expanded, remarkably enhancing a transfer rate.

Broadband diagnostics system
A broadband diagnostics system provides the capability to collect, store and retrieve diagnostic information for the purpose of comparing various channel information to current and existing network elements and conditions. The system allows testing, troubleshooting, tracking, identifying and logging information pertaining to cable, xDSL, FTTx and other networks, and their associated elements. The system also provides identification and testing of network elements deployed at various customer premises, behind a demarcation device.

Multipath traffic switch damping
A method of managing multipath traffic switching in a network includes a plurality of shared paths, including selecting a first path from among the plurality of shared paths; setting an initial timer to an initial timer value; sending network traffic over the first path; based on determining that at least one path characteristic of the first path is unsatisfactory and that the initial timer has not expired, generating an updated timer value by increasing the initial timer value; and based on determining that the at least one path characteristic of the first path is unsatisfactory and that the initial timer has expired, selecting a second path, sending the network traffic over the second path, and setting an updated timer to the updated timer value.
System and method for performing lossless switching in a redundant multicast network
A system and method is provided for performing lossless switching in a redundant multicast network. An exemplary method includes receiving a primary media stream and a redundant media stream over different forwarding network paths by network ports of a receiver communicatively coupled to an A/V device. Furthermore, the receiver outputs media data of the media streams to the A/V device to be presented thereon. In response to a control signal to switch the receiver to a new primary media stream, the method disconnected either the primary ort the redundant media streams from the respective network port of the receiver receiving that stream. Furthermore, the method includes controlling the disconnected network port to receive the new primary media stream and then outputting media data of the new primary media stream to the A/V device to be presented thereon.

INTELLIGENT SERVICE COMPOSITION AND ORCHESTRATION USING AN ENHANCED END-TO-END SERVICE-BASED ARCHITECTURE
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, obtaining information regarding a plurality of network resources available in an access network, wherein the plurality of network resources is abstracted as a plurality of universal resource ports, wherein the information identifies, for each network resource, a respective universal resource port, and wherein the information identifies capabilities of the plurality of network resources; receiving, from an external system, a request for a service to be provided for a UE; identifying a first set of universal resource ports based on the information and the request, wherein the first set of universal resource ports corresponds to a first set of network resources that have particular capabilities associated with the service; and causing a controller to define a route, that includes the first set of universal resource ports, to orchestrate provisioning and delivery of the service for the UE. Other embodiments are disclosed.
