Communication Device, Gateway Node and Methods for Preparing a Point-to-Point Session

A method performed by a first communication device, for preparing a point-to-point, Pt2Pt, session with a second communication device is provided. The first communication device receives (202) from the second communication device, information about one or more communication protocol stacks that are supported by the second communication device for use in the Pt2Pt session. The first communication device obtains (208) a first communication protocol stack that is compatible with at least one out of the one or more protocol stacks that are supported by the second communication device. The first communication protocol stack will be used in the Pt2Pt session with the second communication device. The first communication device then re-configures (209) the first communication device to use the first communication protocol stack in the Pt2Pt session, and sends (210) a message to the second communication device. The message comprises information about said compatible first communication protocol stack which is to be used in the Pt2Pt session.

SYSTEM HAVING A PROTOCOL INDEPENDENT CONFIGURATION ENVIRONMENT
20170353585 · 2017-12-07 ·

A system and approach that may provide a protocol independent environment to configure an ASC (application specific control) device in, for example, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning system. By using this system and approach, a user may reuse a device configuration already done for a device of one protocol in a device of another protocol without being required to reconfigure the latter device from scratch. This way may help a user to reduce the total setup time required to fully configure a device. The reduction may be done by simply exporting the configuration information from the first device and then importing the configuration information into the second device, where the internal protocol specific details can be handled internally by a tool. Thus, a user need not bother with the details that are in the background of the moving a configuration among devices of different protocols.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIGNALLING NETWORK CODING CAPABILITIES

The present invention concerns a method of transmitting over a radio access network to a base station, by a network entity, a radio resource control signalling indicating the capability of a user equipment to perform network coding, wherein the method comprises: detecting by the network entity of a trigger event for signalling to the base station, the network coding capabilities of the user equipment; generating by the network entity a radio resource control signalling message comprising the user equipment network coding capabilities; and transmitting by the network entity of the generated radio resource control signalling message to the base station.

Invoking a Random Linear Network Coding Communications Protocol

A technology is provided for invoking a random linear network coding (RLNC) communications protocol between a client and server in a network. In one example, a synchronize message requesting a network connection to a server can contain an indication that a client supports the RLNC communications protocol to encode and decode data packets using random linear network coding. The server can analyze the synchronize message for the indication that the client supports the RLNC communications protocol and send an acknowledge message to the client indicating that the server supports the RLNC communications protocol. Thereafter, the server can listen on a communications channel for a connection request sent by the client to communicate with the server using the RLNC communications protocol.

WIRELESS POWER RECEPTION DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION METHOD PERFORMED BY WIRELESS POWER RECEPTION DEVICE

A communication apparatus, which is connectable with a plurality of networks including a first network and a second network of a type different from the first network, is provided. The communication apparatus detects an operation by user for setting communication parameters for connecting to a network, and provides, if detecting the operation while connecting with another first communication apparatus via the first network, another second communication apparatus with communication parameters for communication via the second network.

UNLOCKING COMPUTING RESOURCES FOR DECOMPOSABLE DATA CENTERS

Techniques for sending Compute Express Link (CXL) packets over Ethernet (CXL-E) in a composable data center that may include disaggregated, composable servers. The techniques may include receiving, from a first server device, a request to bind the first server device with a multiple logical device (MLD) appliance. Based at least in part on the request, a first CXL-E connection may be established for the first server device to export a computing resource to the MLD appliance. The techniques may also include receiving, from the MLD appliance, an indication that the computing resource is available, and receiving, from a second server device, a second request for the computing resource. Based at least in part on the second request, a second CXL-E connection may be established for the second server device to consume or otherwise utilize the computing resource of the first server device via the MLD appliance.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSMITTING AND RECEIVING MULTIMEDIA CONTENT

The present disclosure relates to a method of transmitting multimedia content in a broadcast communication system, and comprises the steps of: identifying protocol information mapped for each service corresponding to multimedia content; transmitting service-related information including the identified protocol information mapped for each service; and transmitting multimedia content corresponding to related services to a receiving side by using the identified protocol.
