Apparatus and method for fast communication between master and slave
A method and apparatus for fast communication between the master and the slave connected via Bluetooth low energy (BLE) is provided. An electronic device includes a communication circuit configured to perform wireless communication, at least one processor operatively connected to the communication circuit, and a memory operatively connected to the processor, wherein the memory may store instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to receive a first designated message associated with a connection parameter update through the communication circuit from an external electronic device connected via a Bluetooth low energy (BLE) protocol, determine, in response to reception of the first designated message, a designated scheme for the connection parameter update based on an attribute of the external electronic device, determine a time point of an instant based on the determined designated scheme, transmit a second designated message including the determined instant time point to the external electronic device, and make an update to connection parameters when the time point of the instant is reached.

System for fan-based creation and composition of cross-franchise content
Aspects of the subject disclosure may include, for example, a device having a processing system including a processor; and a memory that stores executable instructions that, when executed by the processing system, facilitate performance of operations of deriving one or more building blocks from original content of a franchise; providing a search interface enabling a user to discover the one or more building blocks, wherein the user selects a set of building blocks from the one or more building blocks for creating user generated content; providing a composition module enabling the user to manipulate the set of building blocks to create the user generated content; and applying one or more policies of the franchise concerning the user generated content, wherein the one or more policies ensure that the user generated content complies with objectives of the franchise. Other embodiments are disclosed.
Self-describing cable
A system may include a controller, an endpoint device, and a cable coupled between the controller and the endpoint device and comprising a communication wire for bidirectionally communicating signals between the controller and the endpoint device and a circuit formed as a part of the cable and communicatively coupled to the communication wire, the circuit having a microcontroller unit configured to communicate identifying information regarding the cable to the controller via the communication wire and without contention with the signals bidirectionally communicated between the controller and the endpoint device.

Unifying Web and Phone Presence
The subject matter of this specification can be embodied in, among other things, a computer-implemented method that includes obtaining, at a computer system, a plurality of contact identifiers for a computer account holder, wherein the identifiers represent a plurality of different communication modes; identifying a handle for the account holder, wherein the handle is associated with a uniform resource locator; and correlating the handle with the plurality of contact identifiers, and storing the handle and plurality of contact identifiers together so as to permit retrieval of the contact identifiers in response to identification of the handle.

METHODS FOR BEARER SELECTION PERFORMED BY A SENDING MOBILE DEVICE
A method performed by a sending mobile phone that transmits SMS messages and packet switched messages may comprise: (a) retrieving a destination address of a message from the message; (b) sending information representing a phone number of a receiving mobile phone; (c) receiving a response to the sending of the information; and (d) based at least in part on the response, automatically selecting a bearer for the message. The bearer may be selected from a group including: an SMS bearer; a packet-switched message bearer supported by a cellular connection between the sending mobile phone and a cellular base station; and a packet-switched message bearer supported by a wireless local area network (WLAN) connection between the sending mobile phone and a WLAN base station.

METHOD, COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM AND APPARATUS TO DETERMINE SUPPORT OF IMS VOICE SERVICE IN A 5G MOBILE NETWORK
Techniques are provided for managing the provisioning of voice services to a user equipment (UE) in a fifth generation (5G) network. For example, the UE generates a registration request message that includes 5G mobility management (5GMM) capabilities of the UE that are indicative of whether the UE supports voice over internet protocol multimedia subsystem (IMS), and transmits the registration request message to a next generation radio acess network (NGRAN) node in the 5G wireless network. Based on the 5GMM capabilities, the NG-RAN node can determine whether voice over IMS can be provided to UE by comparing the 5GMM capabilities to capabilities of the NG-RAN node.
