Object driven newsfeed
Object driven newsfeeds supporting interest-based social networks aid in the formation of relationships based on similar domains of user interest. A space efficient graphical user interface (GUI) enables access to an object driven newsfeed of contextual and relevant information to aid a consumer/user in making buying decisions in an e-commerce environment.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR EXECUTING APPLICATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A first device in a wireless communication system is provided. The first device discovers a second device using a first application, and transmits to the second device information to request launch of a second application by the second device.
TECHNOLOGIES FOR END OF FRAME DETECTION IN STREAMING CONTENT
Technologies for end of frame marking and detection in streaming digital media content include a source computing device communicatively coupled to a destination computing device. The source computing device is configured to encode a frame of digital media content and insert an end of frame marker into a transport stream header of a network packet that includes an encoded payload corresponding to a chunk of data of the frame of digital media content. The destination computing device is configured to de-packetize received network packets and parse the transport stream headers of the received network packets to determine whether the network packet corresponds to an end of frame of the frame of digital media content. The destination computing device is further configured to transmit the encoded payloads of the received network packets to a decoder in response to a determination that the end of frame network packet has been received. Other embodiments are described and claimed.
Service discovery
Service discovery and other operations related to enabling devices to announce, discover or otherwise control their services and/or the services offered or available from other devices is contemplated. The service discovery may facilitate service discovery for services sourced from devices inside and outside of a network and/or from devices having incompatible messaging capabilities.
Auto-negotiation over extended backplane
In one example in accordance with the present disclosure, a system for auto-negotiation over extended backplane includes an enclosure and a switch external to the enclosure. The enclosure has a NIC (network interface controller) for a server in the enclosure and a DEM (downlink extension module). The DEM has a single DEM PHY connected to the NIC via a backplane and also connected to the switch via an external connection. The DEM PHY facilitates auto-negotiation between the switch and the NIC.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DEVICE INTEROPERABILITY AND SYNCHRONIZATION
A device interoperability system for one or more user devices associated with a user, wherein said one or more user devices comprises a first user device, said device interoperability system comprising a communications module, wherein a first connection is established between said first user device and said communications module; storage associated with said device interoperability system and coupled to said communications module, wherein said storage stores an operating system, one or more programs, and data associated with the user, further wherein said operating system is booted by said first user device via said first connection; and one or more processors to support said device interoperability system.
First Node, Communication Device, and Methods Performed Thereby for Handling Positioning Information
A method performed by a first node (111) is described herein. The first node (111) operates in a communications network (10). The first node (111) sends (204) a query to a second node (112) operating in the communications network (10). The query requests information on a location of a communication device (130) operating in the communications network (10). The communication device (130) is identified by the first node (111) as a constrained communication device (130) lacking a capability to query the second node (112). The first node (111) obtains (205) the information from the second node (112), in response to the sent query, and initiates updating (207) an object in the communication device (130) based on the obtained information. A method performed by the communication device (130) is also described, whereby the device sends (301), to the first node (111), an indication that it is constrained, and obtains (304) the update.
COMMUNICATION PROTOCOL DISCOVER METHOD IN CONSTRAINED APPLICATION PROTOCOL (COAP)
Methods for a CoAP server to inform CoAP clients regarding a set of one or more communication protocols supported by the CoAP server. In one aspect, a CoAP client obtains information indicating a set of one or more communication protocols supported by the CoAP server and determines which of the set of one or more communication protocols to use to communicate with the CoAP server.
MEDIA CONTENT RIGHTS NEGOTIATION BASED ON A PROTOCOL FOR MANAGEMENT OF MEDIA CONTENT RIGHTS USING A DISTRIBUTED MEDIA RIGHTS TRANSACTION LEDGER
Provided are a system and method for media content rights negotiation based on defined protocol for management of media content rights using distributed media rights transaction ledger. An initiating node determines acquisition requirement and/or receive request on behalf of other participant for media content rights of requested media content and traverses associated instance of distributed media rights transaction ledger to identify receiving entity node that has media content rights available for negotiation. Accordingly, initial media content rights negotiation transaction is issued, which includes offer for corresponding media content rights. The receiving entity node verifies an identity and signature of initiating entity from initial media content rights negotiation transaction, issues new media content rights negotiation transaction based on verification, evaluation, and/or acceptance of offer. Each instance of distributed media rights transaction ledger includes at least initial media content rights negotiation transaction and new media content rights negotiation transaction.
Load balancing system, method, and apparatus
A load balancing system, method, and apparatus, where the method includes: receiving, by a load balancing device, a first message from a client that is used to request to establish a first Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) connection; sending the first message to a server; receiving a second message from the client that is used to request to establish a second TCP connection; and determining, based on a token of the server included in the second message, that a destination device of the second message is the server, and sending the second message to the server, in order to establish the second TCP connection between the client and the server.
