Technologies for end of frame detection in streaming content
11528308 · 2022-12-13 · ·

Technologies for end of frame marking and detection in streaming digital media content include a source computing device communicatively coupled to a destination computing device. The source computing device is configured to encode a frame of digital media content and insert an end of frame marker into a transport stream header of a network packet that includes an encoded payload corresponding to a chunk of data of the frame of digital media content. The destination computing device is configured to de-packetize received network packets and parse the transport stream headers of the received network packets to determine whether the network packet corresponds to an end of frame of the frame of digital media content. The destination computing device is further configured to transmit the encoded payloads of the received network packets to a decoder in response to a determination that the end of frame network packet has been received. Other embodiments are described and claimed.

Invoking a random linear network coding communications protocol
11528342 · 2022-12-13 · ·

A technology is provided for invoking a random linear network coding (RLNC) communications protocol between a client and server in a network. In one example, a synchronize message requesting a network connection to a server can contain an indication that a client supports the RLNC communications protocol to encode and decode data packets using random linear network coding. The server can analyze the synchronize message for the indication that the client supports the RLNC communications protocol and send an acknowledge message to the client indicating that the server supports the RLNC communications protocol. Thereafter, the server can listen on a communications channel for a connection request sent by the client to communicate with the server using the RLNC communications protocol.

METHODS AND APPARATUSES FOR USER EQUIPMENT AGGREGATION
20220394433 · 2022-12-08 · ·

The present disclosure provides detailed specifications related to user equipment (UE) aggregation. As an example, a virtual UE (VUE) configuration, also referred to as a configuration for UE aggregation, that can be used by multiple UEs participating in UE aggregation may be communicated in a wireless communication network. The configuration may indicate, for example, that the UEs are to participate in UE aggregation, and indicate a first UE for splitting or combining data. In some embodiments the configuration may indicate protocol stacks for the multiple UEs to participate in UE aggregation, and an anchor point. The anchor point is associated with a layer in the protocol stack of a first UE of the multiple UEs, and implements data splitting and/or aggregation. As an alternative to the specific example of an anchor point, a configuration may indicate a function for splitting or aggregating data.

WLAN coexistence with other standards using communications mask aligned with target wake time

A method can include negotiating a target wake time (TWT) with a TWT session period (TWT SP) duration and generating mask data that inhibits communications according to a second standard during at least a portion of TWT SP. A method can further include, by operation of second communication circuits, generating a communications mask from mask data received from WLAN circuits, in response to the timing signal, synchronizing the communications mask with the TWT SP, and in response to the communications mask, inhibiting communications according to the second standard during at least a portion of the TWT SP. Corresponding devices and systems are also disclosed.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PROCESSING OUT-OF-ORDER DELIVERY FOR PDCP LAYER IN WIRELESS D2D COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

According to an embodiment of the disclosure, provided are an operation method of a first user equipment (UE), and the first UE, in a wireless communication system. The operation method of the first UE includes: transmitting, to a second UE, UE sidelink capability information including out-of-order delivery capability information of a packet data convergence protocol (PDCP) layer of the first UE; and receiving, from the second UE, out-of-order delivery configuration information configured for a sidelink radio bearer, based on the out-of-order delivery capability information of the PDCP layer of the first UE. Also, the operation method of the first UE further includes processing sidelink data received from the second UE, based on the out-of-order delivery configuration information.

REMOTE VEHICLE COMMUNICATIONS BITRATE DETERMINATION
20220385747 · 2022-12-01 · ·

A method of remote communications with an on-board diagnostics (OBD) system of a vehicle includes connecting a vehicle communications device to a connector of a vehicle's OBD system, connecting a remote communications device to a connector of a vehicle tool device, and establishing a network communications link between the vehicle-communications device and a remote communications device. The vehicle communications device receives communications at the vehicle-communications device from the vehicle's OBD system through the connector. A bit stream of the received communications is analyzed over an interval of time. The widths of one or more bit pulses are estimated based on the analyzing of the bit stream. A bit rate of the OBD system is determined based on the estimated widths of the one or more bit pulses. Based on the determined bit rate of the OBD system, bidirectional communications are established between the OBD system and the tool device using the established network communications link between the vehicle-communications device and the remote communications device.
