ANSWERING A CALL WITH CLIENT THROUGH A HOST

A client device may be used to initiate or answer calls using a host device connected to a network. For example, when a phone operating as a host device receives an incoming call from a network, the phone may communicate the presence of the incoming call to one or more client devices such as laptop, desktop, tablet, or wearable devices that are associated with the host device. When an answer call selection is made at a client, a call answered communication may be sent from the client device to the host device. The host device may then communicate with the network to connect the call to the host, and when the call is connected, the host may hand-off the call to the client that sent the call answered communication.

Diversion of a call to a wearable device

Described herein are apparatuses, methods, and computer readable media for diverting a call from a server that receives calls to a wearable device (e.g., a watch) associated with a mobile device. In some embodiments, a mobile device determines whether a condition to activate a call diversion feature for the mobile device is met. In response to determining the condition is met, the mobile device communicates with the server to activate the call diversion feature for the mobile device. Subsequently, a call intended for the mobile device that is received at the server is diverted from the server to the wearable device.

ELECTRONIC DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANAGING INCOMING CALLS

A method for managing an incoming call includes sending a first predetermined voice message to a caller when a fixed-line telephone receives the incoming call from the caller, capturing an image of a predetermined scene range of the fixed-line telephone when the incoming call is determined to be calling for the owner of the fixed-line telephone, sending prompt information to at least one mobile device when the owner of the fixed-line telephone is not detected, performing a corresponding function according to a selected operation of an owner of the at least one mobile device.

Using physical gestures to initiate call transfers between devices

Various technologies described herein pertain to using detected physical gestures to cause calls to transfer between client devices. A physical gesture between a first client device and a second client device can be detected (e.g., utilizing the first client device, the second client device, a disparate client-side device, a server, etc.). The first client device participates in a call, while the second client device is not participating in the call at a time of the detection of the physical gesture. Responsive to detection of the physical gesture, participation of the second client device in the call can be initiated. Participation of the second client device in the call can be initiated by causing the call to transfer from the first client device to the second client device or causing the second client device to join the call while the first client device continues to participate in the call.

Coordination Between Media End Devices

Systems and methods are presented to allow coordination between media end devices such that a user interface on a first end device may be used to manage audio calls, media playback, or the like, on a second end device. The first end device establishes a first communications channel to a source device and a second communications channel to a second end device. The second end device may also have a communications channel to the source device. The first end device communicates with the second end device on the second communications channel to exchange command and control information to influence operation between the second end device and the source device. The source device, however, is unaware of the second communications channel between the first and second end devices.

Application customization using a customization file

Techniques and systems for receiving and using a customization file are provided, including a computing device, a method, or a computer-program product. For example, a method may include receiving a customization file that includes customized content for customizing a communication interface overlay. The method may further include accessing native application code and executing the native application code to run a native application. The method may further include accessing a compiled set of code that is separate from the native application code. The compiled set of code is accessible by the native application code. The method may further include executing the compiled set of code, wherein a default file of the compiled set of code provides a native communication interface overlay, wherein the native communication interface overlay is overlaid over a graphical interface of the native application, and wherein the native communication interface overlay allows communication with a resource of a third-party. The method may further include executing the received customization file, wherein executing the received customization file customizes the compiled set of code, and wherein the customized compiled set of code customizes the native communication interface overlay to provide a customized communication interface overlay.

A call transfer method and user equipment relate to the communications field, where the method includes acquiring a phone number of a current call to first user equipment, determining whether the phone number of the current call is a trigger number, determining whether a ring parameter corresponding to the number of the call meets a preset condition when the phone number of the current call is the trigger number, and sending a call transfer instruction to a server when the ring parameter corresponding to the number of the call meets the preset condition such that when a number of a call is a trigger number and a ring parameter corresponding to the number of the call meets a preset condition, the call to first user equipment is transferred.

Method and terminal device for telephone call transfer

A method and terminal device for transferring a telephone call, are provided. The method comprises: detecting if an incoming call is received; displaying an incoming call interactive interface containing an incoming call transferring option, if the incoming call is detected; transferring the incoming call to a terminal device corresponding to a designated number when the incoming call transferring option is chosen. As the user is allowable to choose whether the incoming call should be transferred according to actual needs, the problem of automatically transferring incoming calls under some circumstances not suitable for transferring a telephone call may be avoided, thereby achieving more intelligent call transfer manner with more flexibility and better effect for transferring a telephone call.
