Answer and hold with client and host
A host device may relay notifications to any number of client devices of an incoming call. In response to a hold command from a client device, the host device may connect to the call and place the call in a hold state. For example, when a phone operating as a host device receives an incoming call from a network, the phone may communicate the presence of the incoming call to client device(s), such as laptop, desktop, tablet, or wearable devices that are associated with the host device. When an answer and hold selection is made at a client, an answer and hold communication may be sent from the client device to the host device. The host device may then communicate with the network to connect the call to the host. When the call is connected, the host may mute the call until an answer or disconnect occurs.
TECHNIQUES FOR PROVIDING TELECOMMUNICATION SERVICES TO AN ACCESSORY DEVICE
The embodiments described herein are generally directed to systems and methods for intelligently structuring, handling, and enhancing communication sessions between or among communication devices including traditional telephony endpoints (e.g., phones) and non-traditional endpoints (e.g., automobiles, accessory devices, wearable accessory devices) among others. Some embodiments are particularly directed to call forwarding policies for providing the ability to make and receive telephone calls intended for a specific telephony endpoint (e.g. mobile phone, VoIP phone, POTS phone) on an accessory device using the telephony endpoint's identity (e.g., telephone number) even when the accessory device and mobile phone (or other telephony endpoint) are separated by great distances or when the mobile phone (or other telephony endpoint) is otherwise unavailable. Various embodiments described herein may enable selective implementation of the call forwarding policies.
Electronic device and call transfer control method
According to one of aspects, an electronic device, includes: a first communication unit configured to perform communication using a first communication scheme; a second communication unit configured to perform communication using a second communication scheme; and a control unit. When the first communication unit detects an incoming call, the control unit transfers the incoming call to which information linked with an incoming call number of the incoming call is added from the second communication unit to a specific electronic device.
FACILITATING LOCATION OF AND INTERACTION WITH A CONVENIENT COMMUNICATION DEVICE
A method includes the following steps. A request is received to locate one or more convenient communication devices for a recipient of an interaction request. A command is issued to search for the recipient at one or more communication devices. Information related to the recipient is received from the one or more communication devices. A convenience score is computed for each of the one or more communication devices based on the received information. The interaction request is forwarded to one of the one or more communication devices based on the one or more computed convenience scores.
Customized data communication control for data communication service systems using high-level programming
Certain aspects of the disclosure are directed to customized control, for example, including customized communication lists, for data communications systems using high-level programming. According to a specific example, a data communications server is configured to interface with a remotely-situated client entity using a first programming language. The data communications server includes a communication control engine that is configured to provide a private branch exchange (PBX) or PBX functions from a Cloud-based service platform for the client entity. The communication control engine is to identify client-specific sets of control data derived from instructions written in a second programming language that is compatible with the first programming language, and to control communication routing by determining whether and/or how to route incoming data communications in response to the client-specific sets of control data.
COMMUNICATION DEVICE
Data is transferred between a DECT terminal and an LTE base station. A base unit includes a DECT communication unit and an LTE communication unit, the DECT communication unit performing DECT communication with a DECT terminal, and the LTE communication unit transmitting and receiving data with the DECT communication unit and performing LTE communication with an LTE carrier gateway through an LTE base station. The DECT communication unit, in a case where an adjacent frequency bandwidth that is adjacent to one of DECT communication sub-bands is used in the LTE communication, controls the DECT communication to be performed by using the other sub-band.
Audio output method and terminal device
An audio output method and system including first and second electronic devices and an audio output device. The first and second devices are connected to a network using a system authentication account, the first device has installed thereon a music application, and the second device has installed thereon a voice call application. When the audio output device outputs an audio signal corresponding to audio data of the music application, in response to the second device receiving an incoming call from the voice call application, the first device displays a prompt corresponding to the incoming call. The first device sends an indication of answering the incoming call to the second device, which answers the incoming call and sends audio data of the incoming call to the first device, and the first device causes the audio output device to output an audio signal corresponding to the audio data of the incoming call.
WI-FI SENSING-BASED CALL ALERTS
A media device for use with a wide area network, a local area network, a local client device, a second client device, a wireless speaker, and a user of the local client device, the local client device being configured to receive the initiation communication and to transmit an alerting communication, said media device comprising: a memory; a communication system configured to receive the alerting communication from the local client device; a processor configured to execute instructions stored on said memory to cause said media device to: determine a user location of the user via the local area network; determine a client device location of the local client device via the local area network; and transmit, when the user location differs from the client device location, a speaker instruction to the wireless speaker to cause to the wireless speaker to output the warning, based on the alerting communication.
