APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING INCOMING AND OUTGOING CALL INFORMATION IN A MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
Methods and apparatuses are provided for providing information at an electronic device. Incoming call entries and outgoing call entries corresponding to phone numbers are displayed. Based on receiving a selection of one of the call entries, a first option is displayed for modifying prestored contact information associated with the phone number corresponding to the call entry, without displaying a second option for adding the phone number to the address book, and call history information is displayed for the phone number, when the phone number is in the address book. The prestored contact information associated with the phone number includes a name for the phone number. The second option is displayed, without displaying the first option, and the call history information for the phone number is displayed, when the phone number is not in the address book.
Voice user interface for wired communications system
A system capable of connecting a device to a Public Switched Telephone Network (PSTN) using an adapter. The adapter may receive caller identification from the PSTN during a second ringing signal and may send notifications to remote server(s) indicating the caller identification. The remote server(s) may use the caller identification to enable additional functionality in a speech processing system. For example, the remote server(s) may identify contact information corresponding to the caller identification, may determine information about the contact, such as recent meetings, communications, or the like, and may output the information when announcing the incoming call. In addition, the remote server(s) may compare the caller identification to a database of spam and indicate that the incoming call is possible spam.
AC/DC phone line detector
An example AC/DC phone line detection system may include one or more of an electronic circuit that is floating with reference to ground, a first A/D converter coupled to the electronic circuit and configured to detect ringing voltages from DC voltages included in a telephone line, a second A/D converter coupled to the electronic circuit and configured to detect caller identification information from AC voltages included in the telephone line, and a processor configured to control signals detected by the first and second A/D convertors and output information about the signals to call taking equipment.
Multi-dimensional auditory notification composition based on sender categorizations
A method for generating a multi-dimensional communication notification for notifying a user is provided. The method may include receiving a plurality of contact details for a contact entry within a contact list. The method may further include determining a plurality of categories associated with the contact entry based on the received plurality of contact details and the identified plurality of supplementary contact details. The method may also include configuring the multi-dimensional communication notification for the contact entry based on the determined plurality of categories.
Methods and systems for authenticating a user on a call
Methods and systems described in this disclosure allow customers to quickly be authenticated. In some embodiments, a device and a user verifier are associated with a user profile. When a call is received from the device, the user may be requested to input the user verifier. After verifying that the device is unique to the user and that the user verifier matches the user verifier associated with the user profile, the user may be authenticated to the call or activity.

System and method for controlling identifier provided when placing call / message
An application instantiated on a computing device of a professional receives a selection of a client by a professional to place a call to the client by way of an identifier of the client, and upon receiving the selection of the client, presents to the professional a number of options for an identifier of the professional to be provided with the placed call to the client. The application receives from the professional a selection of one of the options for the identifier of the professional, places the call from the professional to the client, and in doing so provides the selected identifier of the professional with the placed call. The selected and provided identifier of the professional represents a favored location at which the professional or an associate thereof may be reached. The client may ascertain the provided identifier of the professional from the placed call and employ same to place a future call toward the professional or the associate thereof.
Systems and methods for authenticating a caller at a call center
A system for authenticating the identity of a caller (i) receiving one or more online credentials of a caller initiating a phone call, where the one or more online credentials include one or more pieces of biometric information associated with the caller, and the one or more online credentials are received from a mobile device associated with the caller; (ii) requesting one or more additional online credentials associated with the mobile device; (iii) receiving the one or more additional online credentials; (iv) receiving telephone authentication information associated with the phone call; (v) authenticating the caller based, at least in part upon, the one or more online credentials, the one or more additional credentials, and the telephone authentication information; (vi) generating authentication status information based on the authentication of the caller; and (vii) transferring the authentication status information and the phone call to a call recipient.
Information provided to parent regarding a called for child protection
The present disclosure describes a system, method, and computer readable medium for providing information of a calling party to an alert party, wherein the calling party is in communication with the receiving party in a communications network. The method includes receiving a message from a calling party to a receiving party and performing a lookup of information relating to the calling party in a database, wherein the lookup is based on an identifier associated with the message, Thereafter, an alert is sent to the alert party if the calling party information is unavailable in a contact list of the receiving party.
Conditional correlated multiple sampling single slope analog-to-digital converter, and associated image sensor system and method
A conditional correlated multiple sampling (CCMS) single slope (SS) analog-to-digital converter (ADC) is provided. The CCMS SS ADC includes a comparator, arranged to compare an analog signal with a ramp signal and generate a comparison result; and a CCMS control circuit, arranged to determine a swing of the ramp signal according to a magnitude of the analog signal. An image sensor system using the CCMS SS ADC and a method of CCMS SS analog-to-digital conversion are also disclosed.
