Performing contextual analysis of incoming telephone calls and suggesting forwarding parties
A computer-implemented method includes: receiving, by a computing device, an incoming telephone call from a caller; identifying, by the computing device, a telephone number associated with the telephone call; obtaining, by the computing device, contextual data based on the telephone number, predicting, by the computing device, one or more reasons for the telephone call based on the contextual data; and displaying, by the computing device, the one or more reasons for the telephone call.
Cross Device Companion Application For Phone
Example apparatus and methods concern establishing context for a phone call. A computing device is controlled to display content and applications that are relevant for the call during the call. A party on the call is identified using data received from a phone used by the party. The relevant content and the relevant application are identified using actions (e.g., purchase to make, call to make) and intentions (e.g., family matter, business matter) identified in text provided in a text-based transcript of the call. The text-based transcript is provided in real time by a natural language processing (NLP) service during the call. The devices are controlled to selectively present the relevant content and the relevant application to make the call more automated and more productive. A to-do list is automatically generated based on the intentions, the actions, and on subject matter or content discussed or accessed during the call.
IN-VEHICLE HANDSFREE APPARATUS AND DATA TRANSFER METHOD
An in-vehicle navigation apparatus with a handsfree function establishes a Bluetooth communication link with a cellular phone. When receiving from the cellular phone outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which were stored in the cellular phone before establishing the Bluetooth communication link, the in-vehicle navigation apparatus stores, in a work memory, the received outgoing call history data and the received incoming call history data, equally to, of the navigation apparatus itself, outgoing call history data and incoming call history data. An outgoing call operation then becomes possible using outgoing call history data and incoming call history data, which are stored in the work memory.

Inbound calls to intelligent controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices
Systems and methods for inbound calls to controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices may receive, via the device, data associated with the resident operating the device. Authentication of the resident operating the device may be verified as associated with an address identifier of the device and it may be confirmed that an inbound calling non-resident is associated with the address identifier. A notification of the inbound call may then be sent to the device, and the same or other data associated with the resident operating the device may be received, via the device. Authentication of the resident operating the device as a resident as associated with an address identifier may be re-verified using the same or other data and the call connected as a result of the verification, confirmation and/or re-verification.
Inbound calls to intelligent controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices
In systems and methods for inbound phone or video calling to intelligent controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications devices utilizing inbound calling subscriptions, each inbound calling account associates a non-resident with an address identifier of a controlled-environment facility resident media and/or communications device. An authenticating server, or the like validates, and re-validates identification of the non-resident associated with each inbound calling account at a predetermined time interval for each inbound calling account.
Mobile to Landline Dialer
A landline-connected telephone has a landline connection to a publicly-switched telephone network, a processor executing coded instructions from a non-transitory data storage medium, and an input interface receiving data from a remote communication device. Through execution of the coded instructions, the landline-connected telephone receives a telephone number sequence by the near-field wireless circuitry, and generates required tones according to the telephone number sequence, dialing the telephone number over the landline connection.
Additional information on a caller
To provide a called one with information on the caller, a reference to a resource containing real-time or near-real-time information relating to the caller, or information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, or the real-time or near-real-time information, or the information deduced using the real-time or near-real-time information, is transmitted with a connection establishment request, and the information in the resource or the received information is displayed to the called one before the requested connection is established so that the called one can make a decision whether or not to answer the call.
System and method for identifying unwanted communications using communication fingerprinting
A method for identifying communicators as wanted or unwanted based on messages from such communicators comprising receiving, by the data processing system, an inbound message from a communicator, comparing, by the data processing system, the inbound message to fingerprints stored in a database accessible to the data processing system, determining, by the data processing system, at least one match to the fingerprints, determining, by the data processing system, an identity of the communicator by determining whether and how likely the communicator is wanted or unwanted based on the at least one match to the fingerprints, and configuring, by the data processing system, handling of calls from the communicator based on the identity.
Telephone number based information loading method and device
Disclosed are a telephone-number-based information loading method and device, wherein the method comprises steps of: detecting a telephone number in current display contents on a terminal side; determining whether the telephone number carries a feature identifier; and if yes, then generating a dial option control that is based on the telephone number in the current display contents, and/or invoking entry information of a webpage type service previously associated with the telephone number. According to the present invention, it is possible to conserve bandwidth resources, while preventing the occurrence of a situation in which a user mistakenly enters a dangerous website because of a search error, resulting in a security threat or other losses.
