METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR HANDOVER OF AN EMERGENCY CALL BETWEEN DIFFERENT WIRELESS NETWORKS
A method is provided to enable handoff of an emergency services call between different network operators. A UE may establish a first call with a first network for a first network operator based on a first wireless access type, where the first call is an emergency services call to a PSAP. The UE may then determine impaired wireless coverage for the first wireless access type and unimpaired wireless coverage for a second wireless access type for a second network, where the second network is for a second network operator different to the first network operator. The UE may then establish a second call with the second network based on the second wireless access type, where the second call is a continuation of the first call to the PSAP. In embodiments, the first wireless access type is WiFi and the second wireless access type is cellular.
Method and system for emergency notification
Method and apparatus for notifying an emergency responder of a vehicle emergency. Communication is established with a cellular telephone located within the vehicle. The communication link is monitored and the vehicle occupant is notified of link loss. The apparatus monitors vehicle safety systems for detection of an emergency condition. Upon detection, the occupant is notified that an emergency call will be made. If no cancellation is received, vehicle location information is obtained from a global position system, synthesized into voice signals, and communicated to an emergency responder using the cellular telephone. A plurality of occupant and vehicle emergency information may also be provided. Emergency responders may be provided with a touch tone menu to select among the available information. Vehicle and occupant information may be communicated to the apparatus from external sources, such as a web server database via cellular telephone connection, or removable memory.
Providing temporary callback number for emergency calls
A system, method, and computer readable medium comprising instructions for providing temporary callback number for emergency calls is disclosed. A determination is made as to whether a restriction is imposed on a mobile user for incoming calls. A temporary callback number for the mobile user is generated if the restriction is imposed. A request for a callback to the mobile user comprising the temporary callback number is detected. The callback is routed to the mobile user using the temporary callback number.
SMART SPEAKERPHONE EMERGENCY MONITORING
Methods, systems, and apparatus for smart speakerphone emergency monitoring are disclosed. A method includes detecting a sound at one or more of multiple locations of a property; determining that the sound indicates an emergency at the property; sending, to a monitoring station, an indication of the emergency; receiving, from the monitoring station, a two-way voice call; and broadcasting the two-way voice call to the multiple locations of the property. Detecting the sound at one or more of multiple locations of a property includes receiving audio data generated by one or more of a plurality of speakerphones, each speakerphone being located at one of the multiple locations of the property. Each speakerphone includes an audio microphone and an audio speaker, the speakerphone being configured to communicate with a speakerphone hub device using digital enhanced cordless telecommunications (DECT) signals.

Visual assistance systems and related methods
Visual assistance systems and related methods are disclosed. A visual assistance system includes a visual assistance service configured to receive and display images from a user device on an electronic display for a live assistant. The visual assistance service is also configured to transmit assistant audio from the live assistant conveying information derived by the live assistant's review of the images. A visual assistance system comprises a user device configured to capture and transmit the images to the visual assistance service. The user device is also configured to receive the assistant audio from the visual assistance service, and reproduce the assistant audio to a user of the user device. The user is registered with the visual assistance service as having at least a minimum level of visual disability. A method of operating the visual assistance system includes receiving the images from, and transmitting the assistant audio to the user device.
e911 call continuity for WiFi offload
A system and method for transferring e911 calls between a 3GPP network and a non-3GPP network. The method includes connecting an emergency communication between a mobile device and an emergency service, receiving, from the mobile device, an indication to handoff the communication from a first network to a second network; and transferring the communication from the first network to the second network while maintaining continuity of the communication.
User configurable routing of VoIP calls
In one or more embodiments, an apparatus includes a set of VoIP servers configured to route VoIP calls to and from a plurality of VoIP-enabled devices. Each of the VoIP-enabled devices is respectively associated with one of a plurality of client accounts. A control circuit is communicatively connected to the one or more VoIP servers and directs the VoIP servers to route VoIP calls for a client account according to a respective routing policy for the client account. The routing policy indicates one or more routing algorithms for selecting paths of a network for routing each of the VoIP calls. The routing policy also indicates a selection algorithm configured to, for each VoIP call, one of the set of routing algorithms based on a set of criteria such as geographic location and/or time of the call.

EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM, EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION DEVICE, CENTER DEVICE, PORTABLE TERMINAL DEVICE, EMERGENCY NOTIFCATION PROGRAM PRODUCT
An emergency notification system includes an emergency notification device equipped to a vehicle, a center device disposed at a service center and making a call with the emergency notification device through a wireless communication line, and a portable terminal device communicably connected with the emergency notification device in a wireless manner. The emergency notification device is configured to output a call reception signal to the portable terminal device when a predetermined condition is satisfied, acquire a phone number from the portable terminal device that received the call reception signal, and transmit, to the center device, the acquired phone number. The center device includes a phone number setting unit that sets the received phone number as a new destination phone number instead of a phone number of the emergency notification device which is preliminarily set as a destination phone number.
