POLICY AND BILLING SERVICES IN A CLOUD-BASED ACCESS SOLUTION FOR ENTERPRISE DEPLOYMENTS
Systems and methods for providing mobile services are disclosed. In one implementation, an access point (AP) is provided, which may include a set of one or more base-station functions for use by a user equipment (UE) connected to the AP over a wireless communication interface. The one or more base-station functions may be configured to receive information from the UE. The AP may further include a set of one or more core-network functions configured to receive the information from the set of one or more base-station functions and a distributed portion of a service. The distributed portion of the service may be configured to receive the information from the one or more core-network functions and communicate the information to a corresponding cloud portion of the service running on a cloud platform. The service may be provided by a combination of the distributed portion and the cloud portion of the service. The distributed portion of the service may be further configured to receive a response from the cloud portion of the service based on processing performed by the cloud portion on the cloud platform.
Hybrid Network Based Metering Server and Tracking Client for Wireless Services
A process of tracking usage of a wireless device in a third party wireless network with a metering system includes implementing the metering system in a network separate from the third party wireless network and activating the wireless device in response to identification of the wireless device and confirmation of use of a tracking system to the metering system. The process further includes obtaining, by the metering system, an amount of wireless services used by the wireless device. The obtaining includes at least one of obtaining an amount of wireless services used from the third party wireless network and obtaining an amount of wireless services used from the tracking system.
GATEWAY DEVICE, RADIO COMMUNICATION DEVICE, CHARGING CONTROL METHOD, DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER READABLE MEDIUM
To provide a gateway device that achieves charging control in accordance with a RAT being used by a UE even when the UE is performing communication using different RATs at the same time, the present gateway device (30) includes a management unit (31) configured to, when a communication terminal (10) forms communication aggregation by performing a first radio communication using a first radio access technology and a second radio communication using a second radio access technology, manage at least one bearer assigned to the communication terminal (10) in association with information indicating the first and second radio access technologies, and a charging system communication unit (32) configured to transmit the information indicating the first and second radio access technologies to at least one policy charging control device (40) that performs charging control.

PROVISIONING FRAMEWORK SUPPORTING PLURAL DIFFERENT NETWORKS
One or more processors of a device management platform map network identifiers to corresponding networks. An account of the device management platform manages devices on a plurality of networks based on the network identifiers. The one or more processors of the device management platform identify a network of a device associated with the account from the plurality of networks based on a mapping of a network identifier of the device to the network. The one or more processors of the device management platform perform an action for the device with respect to the network.
Method and apparatus for processing charging in wireless communication system and method and apparatus for providing policy service using the same
Methods and apparatuses for processing charging in wireless communication systems and methods and apparatuses for providing providers' policy services through the charging process are provided. The method includes identifying, by an evolved Node B (eNB), a radio access technology (RAT) used by a user equipment (UE), and generating, by the eNB, charging information per use of a communication service by the UE according to the identified radio access technology (RAT). The method includes identifying, by an eNB, a RAT used by a UE, generating, by the eNB, charging-related information including RAT information indicating the identified RAT for a charging process per use of a communication service by the UE, and transmitting, by the eNB, the charging-related information to a network entity involved with the charging process.
Efficient use of a communications network
A duration of time a communications device is connected to a first network is monitored. A signal of a second network is detected. Next, it is determined whether a predetermined amount of time has elapsed such that the communications device makes efficient use of the first network, and in response to a determination that the predetermined amount of time has elapsed, a connection of the communications device to the second network is initiated.
Home communication center
Methods, systems, devices, modules, and/or computer instructions for redirecting calls in a home communication center are provided. More particularly, a home communication center can include a femtocell, a DECT interface, and/or a network interface. The home communication center can register one or more cellular communication devices with the home communication center; receive, from the femtocell, a call directed to one of the cellular communication devices; determine if a redirection rule applies to the call; if a redirection rule applies to the call, determine a DECT phone to receive the call; determine a phone number for the DECT phone; and, send the call to the DECT interface to call the phone number of the DECT phone.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RATING AN IP-BASED WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION BASED ON ACCESS POINT
A subscriber communicates over an IP-based wireless telecommunications network through an access point. Identifiers associated with the access point (e.g., MAC address IP address, FQDN . . . ) are stored in a database. Each access point is mapped into one or more service zones, where service zones are mapped to service types. The subscriber has a rate plan that is based on a selection of one or more service types. When a wireless connection between the subscriber and the IP-based wireless telecommunications network is established, the access point identifiers are used to retrieve a service zone ID from the database. Upon completion of the communication, a call detail record can be generated that includes the service zone ID for the communication. The billing system can then retrieve billing plan information to determine an appropriate rate for the subscriber based on the service zone ID.
PACKET USAGE AMOUNT CALCULATION DEVICE AND PACKET USAGE AMOUNT CALCULATION METHOD
A packet usage amount calculation device and a packet usage amount calculation method capable of calculating a usage amount of a local network from a home network side, when communication is performed using subscriber information for the local network. In a proxy device, a subscriber profile storage unit stores token information associated with the subscriber information (a local network number) of the local network and an SMS instruction unit transmits a token to a local network number destination. A connection reception unit receives token information and IP address information from a terminal device and a usage amount calculation unit calculates a usage amount on the basis of an IP address.
