Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for managing data deliver for data constrained user devices. In one aspect, a method includes the actions of receiving, from a user device, requests for resources. For each of the requests, determining whether the user device is currently subject to a data constraint for receiving data responsive to the request. For each request for which the user device is determined to be subject to the data constraint, provide data that causes the user device to display a prompt to choose whether a resource responsive to the request is to be provided in the unrestricted data form or a restricted data form. A resource can be provided in an unrestricted data form has a first data size and provided in a restricted data form has a second data size that is less than the first data size.

Disclosed are systems and methods for intelligent, real-time network consumption tracking and traffic steering in fifth-generation (5G) networks via a network configuration and implementation. The disclosed hybrid network traffic steering is effectuated by using Diameter Routing Agent (DRA) and Subscriber Location Function (SLF) to route/steer fourth-generation (4G) network traffic by 5G subscribers to a 5G Charging Function (CHF) for 4G fallback network consumptions. Network currency consumption tracking is performed by the 5G CHF. The CHF dictates policy rules for 5G networks via the Policy Control Function (PCF) of the 5G Core, and dictates policy rules for 4G networks via the Policy and Charging Rules Functions (PCRF) for fallback sessions.

An inmate communication system and method of using are described herein for obtaining a lowest session rate. The inmate communication system includes a session boarder controller (SBC) server that analyses data from multiple carriers, historical sessions, and additional factors such as quality of service to determine a lowest rate for the session. The SBC server then routes the session using the carrier that has the determined lowest rate for the session. Further, the SBC server is configured to include both local and location redundancies to avoid interruptions in session service.

The system can determine a relationship between a sender of an electronic activity and at least one recipient of the electronic activity using a sender node profile and a recipient node profile. The system can assign a tag to the electronic activity based on the relationship between the sender and one or more recipients of the electronic activity. In use, a transmission of data over a network is identified, where the data includes user requested data and additional data. Additionally, a size of the user requested data is determined. Furthermore, the transmission of the user requested data is rated based on the size of the user requested data. A method at a user equipment to facilitate splitting of data billing between at least two parties, the method assigning a first subset of application to a first forwarding information base (“FIB”) on the user equipment; associating the first FIB with a first cellular data interface; activating the splitting of data billing on the user equipment; and replacing the association in the first FIB to the first cellular interface with an association between a second cellular data interface and the first FIB.

A process of modifying a usage allotment of a shared subscription in a third party wireless network includes implementing a metering system in a network separate from the third party wireless network and activating a plurality of wireless devices associated with the shared subscription in response to identification of each of the plurality of wireless devices and confirmation of use of a respective tracking system that tracks a respective usage allotment for each of the plurality of wireless devices on the metering system. In addition, the process includes receiving a change request to reallocate the respective usage allotment for at least two of the plurality of wireless devices and forwarding modification instructions to the at least two wireless devices. Furthermore, the process includes requesting confirmations from the at least two wireless devices that the modification instructions have been received and modifying the respective usage allotments for the at least two wireless devices in response to receiving confirmation from the at least two wireless devices.

An information processing system configured to communicate with an apparatus and an external server and to perform a series of processes specified by the apparatus is provided. The information processing system includes a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory and configured to identify a program that is executed in the external server based on the series of processes specified by the apparatus, and control the operational state of the external server in which the identified program is executed.
