Embodiments herein may include systems, apparatuses, methods, and computer-readable media, for a multi-access edge computing (MEC) system. An apparatus for MEC may include a communication interface, a local cost measurements module, and a service allocation module. The communication interface may receive, from a UE, a request for a service to be provided to the UE. The local cost measurements module may collect a set of local cost measurements for the service. The service allocation module may determine to allocate the service to a MEC host based on an allocation policy related to a cost for the MEC host to provide the service or a cost for a service provider to provide the service in view of the one or more local cost measurements. A mobile device with a disabling feature is disclosed. The method includes activating a mobile device having a timeout feature to disable a function of the mobile device after a set period of time. The period of time may be chosen by a user of the mobile device.

Embodiments of the present invention are directed to systems, methods, and computer program products for a cassette system and device network for secure resource replenishment and distribution among a plurality of computer terminals. A resource replenishment device comprising a tamper-proof, sealable container may securely store and transport one or more resources within the interior of the device. The resource replenishment device may be used for efficiently fulfilling calculated resource deficiency requests at one or more computer terminals, wherein resources may be transferred to the resource replenishment device from a resource reserves station for transport and transfer to a resource-deficient, requesting computer terminal.

A method associated with a contactless phone. The method includes sending a balance inquiry response message to a mobile phone. The mobile phone includes a contactless element that is configured to communicate with a contactless reader in a point of sale terminal. The account balance inquiry response message provides an account balance for an account associated with the mobile phone. The mobile phone is operated by a consumer. The method also includes sending a transaction alert message to the mobile phone, where the transaction alert message informs the consumer that a transaction has occurred using the account. The method also includes sending an offer message to the mobile phone, where the offer message provides a benefit to the consumer if the consumer uses the mobile phone to conduct a predetermined transaction.

Systems and methods are directed to monitoring the communications to and from a mobile communication device in accordance with one or more embodiments. For example in accordance with an embodiment, data services on a mobile communication device, such as communications, application use, functionality, operability, and/or presence, may be monitored against rules available from a central data center repository. The rules may be enforced on the mobile communication device through a token device in short range wireless communications with the mobile communication device. Thus, the token device may prevent certain data services of the mobile communication device within a local area to the token device. An alert may be provided to an administrator when unauthorized data services are detected and/or a message may be sent to a third party to prevent the unauthorized activity.

A method and system for payments for mobile phone payments with a disabling feature is disclosed. The method includes activating a mobile phone containing contactless payment systems, and having a timeout feature disable the contactless payment systems after a set period of time.

Embodiments of the present invention relate to, in general, mobile device translation into a secure channel identifier for resource management. Typically, a system configured to establish a network activity channel with a networked device is provided. In some embodiments, based on analyzing a trigger signal, the system is configured to identify a network activity initiated by the user. In some embodiments, the system identifies a network activity channel configured for performing the network activity initiated by the user, based on at least determining a channel latency of the network activity channel. The system may then present the network activity channel to the user, configure the network activity channel such that the mobile device associated with the user is a secure channel identifier for performing the network activity; and modify, dynamically, a channel interface associated with the network activity channel based on the identified network activity and the trigger signal.

The method includes obtaining charging related information of a proximity based service used by user equipment; generating a charging request for the proximity based service used by the user equipment based on the charging related information; and transmitting the charging request to a charging system of the wireless communication network.

Systems and methods for providing charging information for a device-to-device (D2D) communication. One embodiment is User Equipment (UE) that collects charging information for a D2D communication with one or more other UEs, to determine that the UE is out-of-coverage of a mobile network, to select a relay entity capable of relaying the charging information from the UE to the mobile network, and to transmit the charging information to the relay entity. The relay entity may then relay the charging information to the mobile network to initiate charging for the D2D communication.
