An electronic meeting tool and method for communicating arbitrary media content from users at a meeting comprises a node configuration means adapted to operate a display node of a communications network, the display node being coupled to a first display. The node configuration means is adapted to receive user selected arbitrary media content and to control display of the user selected arbitrary media content on the first display. A peripheral device adapted to communicate the user selected arbitrary media content via the communications network is a connection unit comprising a connector adapted to couple to a port of a processing device having a second display, a memory and an operating system, and a transmitter. A program is adapted to obtain user selected arbitrary media content, said program leaving a zero footprint on termination. The user may trigger transfer of said user selected arbitrary media content to said transmitter.
Cognitive headset awareness with external voice interruption detection
An approach is provided in which an information handling system invokes a conferencing session over a computer network between a first user utilizing a headset and one or more second users. The information handling system detects an audible interruption from a third user proximate to the first user, while the headset inhibits the first user from detecting the audible interruption. Next, the information handling system sends an interruption notification to the first user in response to determining that the audible interruption matches at least one of a set of notification triggers corresponding to the first user. In turn, the information handling system captures a dialog between the one or more second users in the conferencing session in response to the first user accepting the interruption notification.
Communication terminal, communication function starting method, and computer-readable recording medium
A communication terminal includes a display control unit configured to display, on a display unit, a function selecting screen that contains a first icon for receiving a selection of a first communication function and a second icon for receiving a selection of a second communication function. The first communication function is to provide communication using a signaling protocol for connecting to or disconnecting from a destination of communication and an encoding protocol for encapsulating communication data in IP packets. The second communication function is to provide communication using the same signaling protocol and a different encoding protocol. The communication terminal also includes a receiving unit configured to receive a selection of the first icon or the second icon; and a starting unit configured to start the first communication function and the second communication function in response to the selection of the first icon and the second icon, respectively.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MANAGING CALLS
A computer-implemented method for managing calls in a collaboration environment is provided. The method includes receiving, by a processor, a call into a collaboration session of the collaboration environment. The method also includes identifying, by the processor, a user from a plurality of users associated with the collaboration session, based on at least one of contextual information regarding the call and information regarding the plurality of users. The method further includes providing, by the processor, an interface on a device associated with the identified user, wherein the interface enables the identified user to instruct the device to handle the call within the collaboration session.
METHOD TO PROVIDE AD HOC AND PASSWORD PROTECTED DIGITAL AND VOICE NETWORKS
A method and system includes the ability for individuals to set up an ad hoc digital and voice network easily and rapidly to allow users to coordinate their activities by eliminating the need for pre-entry of data into a web or identifying others by name, phone numbers or email. This method is especially useful for police, fire fighters, military, first responders or other emergency situations for coordinating different organizations at the scene of a disaster to elevate conventional communication problems either up and down the chain of command or cross communication between different emergency units. AUTOMATED ASSISTANTS WITH CONFERENCE CAPABILITIES
Techniques are described related to enabling automated assistants to enter into a conference mode in which they can participate in meetings between multiple human participants and perform various functions described herein. In various implementations, an automated assistant implemented at least in part on conference computing device(s) may be set to a conference mode in which the automated assistant performs speech-to-text processing on multiple distinct spoken utterances, provided by multiple meeting participants, without requiring explicit invocation prior to each utterance. The automated assistant may perform semantic processing on first text generated from the speech-to-text processing of one or more of the spoken utterances, and generate, based on the semantic processing, data that is pertinent to the first text. The data may be output to the participants at conference computing device(s). The automated assistant may later determine that the meeting has concluded, and may be set to a non-conference mode.
HAPTIC FEEDBACK DURING PHONE CALLS
A method for providing haptic feedback to participants of multi-party phone conversations that includes opening a communications session with a conference system for at least two users each having user specific communications devices, user specific conduct measuring devices, and user specific haptic feedback device registered with the conference system. Analyzing content of the communications session from content received by the conference system through the user specific communications device for at least one of the users; and capturing status for said at least two users from data measured by the user specific conduct measuring device for the at least two users. Determining with the conference system if the content of the communications session and the status of said at least two users calls for input by the user through said user specific communications device. Sending a feedback signal from the conference system to the user specific haptic feedback device.
Method for providing guidance during a call waiting state
The present invention relates to a method, for providing guidance during a call waiting state, comprising the steps of: a gesture recognition unit of a user device recognizing a call waiting gesture while a call request signal is being received; when the call waiting gesture is recognized, a call acceptance control unit of the user device executing a switch to a call acceptance state with respect to the call request signal received by the user device; a call waiting control unit of the user device switched to the call acceptance state stopping an operation of a speaker unit or a microphone unit of the user device and executing a switch to a call waiting state; and, if the gesture recognition unit recognizes a call switching gesture, activating the operation of the speaker unit or the microphone unit.
