An information processing apparatus includes a processor, an information storage unit, a voltage supply unit, and a control unit. The information storage unit is configured to hold information indicating a voltage to be supplied to the processor. The voltage supply unit is configured to supply a predetermined voltage to the processor based on the information stored in the information storage unit. The control unit is configured to detect an alteration in software to be executed by the processor, and to make a setting for supplying a predetermined voltage to a power source unit based on the information stored in the information storage unit.
PRINT HEAD
A print head includes a first emitting element on a substrate facing a lens. A light output level of the first element is controllable to be within a predetermined range. A second emitting element on the substrate has a light output level that is not controllable to be within the predetermined range. A first driving circuit is connected to the first emitting element. A capacitor is in the first driving circuit and the current supplied to the first emitting element is set by the capacitor voltage. A second driving circuit is connected to the second emitting element to supply current to the second emitting element. A memory stores correction values for the setting of the capacitor voltages for the first and second driving circuits. When capacitor voltage for the second driving circuit is set according to the stored correction value, the capacitor voltage is less than a predetermined threshold.
Method for information processing apparatus, information processing apparatus, and method for communication system
A method for an information processing apparatus, comprising: acquiring first information to be used to establish connection to a connection target access point and second information concerning a communication apparatus to be connected to the access point by imaging a first image displayed on a display unit of another information processing apparatus connected to the access point; establishing wireless connection to the communication apparatus based on the second information acquired in the acquiring the first information; and transmitting the first information to the communication apparatus to cause the communication apparatus to try connection to the access point.
Information processing apparatus, control method thereof, and storage medium
A CPU of an information processing apparatus (MFP) obtains device information regarding a secondary storage device provided in the MFP, and discriminates, based on the obtained device information, whether the secondary storage device is a type of storage device in which the number of shifts to a power saving state affects the lifetime of the storage device. The CPU determines, as a shift condition for the secondary storage device to shift to the power saving state, a shift time for the secondary storage device to shift to the power saving state, by determining the shift time for the type of storage device in which the number of shifts does not affect the lifetime to be shorter than the shift time for the type of storage device in which the number of shifts affects the lifetime.
Print image control device, method and computer product for projecting an overlap deleted print image onto an object to be printed
A CPU of a PC executes display control processing that displays, on a display, a print image superimposed on a photographic image of a fabric captured by a camera, specified area processing that specifies, as a specified area, a predetermined area of the photographic image, and overlap deleted print image formation processing that forms an overlap deleted print image obtained by deleting an overlapping section from the print image that overlaps the specified area. The CPU projects the overlap deleted print image onto an object to be printed.
Image processing apparatus, method and computer-readable medium
An image processing apparatus, including a power source, an image engine, an interface to communicate with an external device and deliver power from the power source to the external device, and a controller, is provided. The controller is configured to detect connection of the external device to the interface; receive power information, including a value of regular operable power and a value of minimum operable power, from the external device; receive a job execution command; in response to receiving the job execution command, determine whether a first power value including the value of the regular operable power exceeds a value of power available for the external device during a predetermined operation by the image engine; and in response to a determination that the first power value exceeds the value of power available for the external device, control the power source to deliver the minimum operable power to the external device.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes: a controller that controls the image forming apparatus; a memory that stores noise levels produced by a plurality of devices constituting the image forming apparatus during operation of the devices; and a microphone that accepts a speech instruction for the image forming apparatus. The controller accepts a job, detects a speech level from the speech accepted by the microphone, compares the detected speech level with a noise level that corresponds to the job to be executed in the image forming apparatus and that has been read from the memory, and controls, based on a result of the comparison, which one of a process of accepting the speech instruction and a process of executing the job in the image forming apparatus should be preferentially performed.
Printing apparatus and control method of printing apparatus
The multifunction machine includes a first CPU core that performs an operation in a normal mode and suspends an operation in an energy saving mode, a second CPU core that performs an operation in the energy saving mode, and a storage unit that stores time information for determining a timing of performing a keep-alive process, wherein the first CPU core causes the operation mode to transition to the normal mode when acquiring a normal mode transition instruction from the second CPU core in the energy saving mode, and then, performs a keep-alive process for the remote operation server, and wherein the second CPU core gives the normal mode transition instruction to the first CPU core based on the time information in the energy saving mode.
SWITCHING OPERATING STATE OF WIRELESS LOCAL AREA NETWORK MODULE
An image forming device is provided. The image forming device includes an image forming job performer, a wireless local area network (WLAN) module, a wireless personal area network (WPAN) module, and a controller. The WPAN module may determine a connection state of an external device using a WPAN, and the controller may receive a request from the external device through the WLAN module that is switched from a disabled state to an enabled state in accordance with the connection state of the external device using the WPAN, to control the image forming job performer.
Image forming apparatus executing processing for wake-up from power saving state according to direction of eye gaze detected by eye-gaze sensor
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a first detecting section, a second detecting section, a display section, and a control section. The first detecting section detects a person present within a predetermined range from the image forming apparatus. The second detecting section detects an eye gaze of the person detected by the first detecting section. When, during a power saving state of the image forming apparatus, the first detecting section detects a person and the second detecting section detects an eye gaze of the person directed in a predetermined direction, the control section wakes up the image forming apparatus from the power saving state and allows the display section to display a predetermined screen according to the direction of the person's eye gaze detected by the second detecting section.
